wings keep giving opportunities away...they aren't meant to win. It's a shame, they are too good for this.

It was more like a 1 on 1 with abby trailing

Watch what you eat at Detroit Area Pro Sporting Events

If people really knew what went on in most of your low end and mid-level restaurants (not to mention arenas) most people would never eat out again. -
I have a ton of hockey cards I'd like to sell if anyone is looking

The unrestricted free agent continued to deliberate on his playing future Friday and told ESPN.com via text message that the Red Wings were the only team to call so far

Can't wait for this one tonight

Paul Woods seems pretty pissed (as much as he can reveal in a professional manner)

Sharks played a great game, the wings buried themselves early but a nice effort to make it close. Should be a good series regardless if the wings win or lose.

As the great Jiri Hudler would say "Vets Go Ved Vings."

Good to see the Howard slappies are out in full force. It's a stretch to say he outplayed Osgood for the starter position. Osgood was out, Howard played well and Osgood wasn't really given a chance to regain the starting spot. Also, Howard was not "great" in this series. For most of the series his GAA was above 3 and his save percentage below .900. I'm not saying Howard wasn't good, I'm just saying lets all slow down before we make a gold statue of him.

In those instances it's like a soccer player shooting a penalty shot.

3 of the 4 goals there has been NO ONE around Detroit's net and has left Osgood hung out to dry.

if anything, this game actually made me believe for the 1st time in 18 seasons the wings will miss the playoffs.
-
seems between the flu and injuries the wings won't have much of a roster left...

A new hockey book says the NHL's Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs almost traded cities in the early 1980s. The biography of one-time Oilers owner Peter Pocklington says the scheme called for the entire team to move to Toronto to play in Maple Leaf Gardens. The Leafs, in turn, would have found a home in Edmonton's new arena, which at that time was called the Coliseum. more in the article...but wow, wild concept. I can't imagine that going down in modern sports... http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=294546
