QUEBEC CITY, Quebec -- The mayor of Quebec City has spoken with the NHL about the possible return of the Nordiques to the NHL. Mayor Regis Labeaume said Saturday he met with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman along with former Nordiques owner Marcel Aubut. The mayor adds that the talks in New York on Friday were "very profitable, very worthwhile." The talk revolved around the need for a new arena, the need for a good owner and the need for corporate support, according to ESPN.com's Pierre Lebrun. Bettman encouraged the mayor to continue trying to get a new arena built, but made no promises, according to LeBrun. They also agreed to stay in touch. Bettman said this month he would consider Quebec City as a possible home to an NHL team if it followed through on plans to build a top arena and if a team were for sale. The Nordiques were sold in 1995 and moved to Denver as the Colorado Avalanche. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4549063 I say bring em' back!

Either NYI management knows something we all don't or there's going to be some drama on the Island with: Rick DiPietro, Dwayne Roloson, and Martin Biron. My question is, what's going on with the Islanders? My guess is Dipietro is still hurt. Thoughts? http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=285407

How sad will it be if somehow this is a career ender?

I like the original mix of this song, not the 955 wings remix, they did a "meh" job with it. If i am going with something current, I am going with the Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling, old school, Aerosmith - Dream On.

from LGW writer Mike Morland: With Game 6 just hours away, you can't help but feel that buzz around metro Detroit. If you've gone into a store, gas station, or work today, you haven't been able to escape without seeing or hearing something Red Wings. There's something about the day of a potential cup clincher that seems to have people antsy in anticipation. With the NHL, NBC and CBC all having a hand in shutting out Joe Vision tonight, I was wondering where people plan to be tonight? Are you staying in, going out? Where are the best spots in the Detroit area to take in tonight's Game 6 action? Where they can get you get the most bang for your buck? Your thoughts, suggestions?

A few other great spots in the Dearborn area - the original Cheli's Chili, Bailey's and Buddy's, all on Michigan Ave. on Dearborn's west side. -

Some of the hot spots in Detroit tonight will be the Hockeytown Cafe and Cheli's Chili. Bettman can try to keep Wings fans out of the Joe but can't keep them all out of the city! -

How have we played Pittsburgh two years in a row and yet so many people still spell it "pittsburg" ? -
Apparently it means Legace, Joseph and Hasek (last season) all could have easily done it. Wait, didn't they all buckle under pressure?

This is the Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP, not Stanley Cup Finals MVP, I'm still four rounds of hockey, still saying Ozzie.
