    I'm not a huge lover of prospects or draft picks but after years of inactivity and feeding us bulls*** about how he wasn't going to trade assets for rentals; nobody here can deny that this was too much for a UFA. I'm going to be rooting for Legwand since I've been a fan of his for years, but I'm not asking Holland for another trade; because he's clearily not good at them anymore. So from now on all I want from Holland is to sign UFA and continue to draft well.

    Then the conditional pick should have been if he signs, not if the Wings make the playoffs.

    Lot's of talk about Jarnkrock but some seem to have forgotten that if Detroit makes the playoffs Nashville also gets a 2nd. That 2nd along with other pieces could have fetched something better. I would have preffered Holland packaged a 2nd and 1st for a big player.

    I've always liked Legwand, and he'll help; but a conditional 2nd for a 33 year old with an injury history who will be an ufa after the season is a bit much. I'm just surprised that the "best GM" in the league couldn't work out a better trade.

    My issue is this: are we 100% sure Jarnkrock is going back to Sweden? If he is why would Nashville want him? My guess is they will offer him a roster spot next year, which is what we could have done this year to see whether he would be ready to play full time. Not only that but Nashville might get our 2nd rounder if we make the Playoffs, which is just crazy, when comparing to what Vanek and Moulson went for.

    It's a good move, but we needed a Defenceman as much as a center. So only 50% happy.

    With the prices dropping, were was Holland? Yay we got Legwand, but teams got Moulson and Vanek on relatively reasonable deals. Sigh.
