Young guys had to step up HUGE at the end of last year. Nyquist isn't going to score every game when teams start keying in on him because Hank & Pavs are out with injury. The kids are gamers. They will infuse drive in the rest of the team and we should be much better with them all starting on the same page together at camp.

So we don't win? I hate to break it to you, but we aren't going to win the cup every year. We didn't when we could spend like drunk wallstreeters', and certainly not in a cap era like now. We are two seasons removed from a GREAT year. 4 years from our last finals appearence. We always make the playoffs. Someone stated it perfect earlier in that Holland perception is a victim of his own success in this cap era. People want perfection & deep playoff runs yearly and don't seem to see the teams that are winning cups BESIDES us have tanked in recent years.

Man oh man. So we are garbage now, is that it? Give me a break. How many other teams did Matt freakin' Niskanen(?!) not sign with? Are they all garbage too? We struck out in FA's this year. It happens for the MAJORITY of the teams in the league. Quincey will fill a role for two years and be fine doing it. He knows the system & obviously has a degree of faith in him with Holland AND Babcock. All those clamoring for a new GM who are you going to replace him with? Who has been better in the last 10 years keeping a team competitive?
