I can understand Parise's choice(kind of) of wanting to go home, but Suter IMO made a dumb decision. He's not even from MN. He played all those years in Nashville and never sniffed a cup. Had a chance to see our top notch organization multiple times a year. He had the chance to join Detroit for great money/term. He knows they will always try to field a great team each year. None of those things have been demonstrated in Minny. Whatever................

I think this might be the case too. Some report said Wild offered $100 million to Parise & $80 to Suter. Parise probably trying to entice Suter to join him in Minny and Suter likes Detroit option better. Any which way, Kenny & Co. have made a damn good offer and that's all we as fans can ask. If it is enough great. If not good luck. If he want's to waste away in Minny seems kinda odd, but so be it. If they don't go as a package would Parise really sign with the Wild by himself?

This. Suter would be great. But the price/years(especially) is getting ridiculous. Hopefully Kenny got his answer one way or another last night and I'm sure is working the phone to make this team better. I like it. After I got over my initial emotional reaction and processed the signing I think this will work out well. Guy has been a part of Nashville for what, 10 years? Trotz obviously liked the guy. Helm likes the guy. He brings grit, energy, and toughness. A guy like this(Drake,McCarty) put's the wind in the sails of teammates with the way they play and energy they bring. Look at how deflated we were missing Helmer's energy in the playoffs. The energy caused by hitting and banging ramps up the juices of everyone. 22-Helm-Abby line will get the Joe rocking and hopefully wake Franzen the f*** up out of his coma.

Wouldn't mind a fallback plan of Semin for a couple/three years. Look what Franzen & Hudler could do with Pavs/Dats as their centermen. Semin is more skilled than either and has decent size like Mule. As long as we don't have to lock him up for many years he could be golden. Dat's would put the hammer down on him to perform the Redwing way if he was here. Hudler can walk. Like others have said, to small, and easy to play against. He bounces off players like a flea. At least with Mule & Semin their sheer size makes them harder to play against, even if they don't always use it to their potential.
