cbc.ca's video player has an interview with one of the men in charge there and he said that he had no idea about this until he got home from detroit at 1pm today because his blackberry was broken. he claims that the composer gave him a deadline of tomorrow at 5pm to make a decision. he also said that he does not foresee this being a problem and if for some reason they cannot reach an agreement they will hold a contest across the country to choose a new theme song.

i havent been able to sleep because of all the excitement. ive been up since like 5:40 this morning watching my detroit red wings history DVDs, playing endless nhl08 against pathetic pittsburgh fans and generally reliving the cups from 97,98,02. GO WINGS GO!!!! -

our boys are gonna finish this off tonight, no doubt. its a shame though they couldnt pull it off at home because mellon arena is far and away the worst in the league and for anyone who hasn't seen the visitor's locker room here is a link. http://www2.sportsnet.ca/video/hockey/2007...g_dressing_room it's godawful. -
cbc.ca streams the games too but it might be for canadians only. the quality is lower than sopcast but it never fails and can be a good backup.
