im happy we have someone throwing the body around and if we have to take a few penalties thats fine with me too. it looked like a flying elbow to me which no doubt deserved 2 minutes but thats it. kunitz was doing his standard boarding/elbowing all night against dallas and each of his hits seemed as bad or worse than kronners.

i heard somewhere last night that mikko koivu played like 27 minutes or something in the first game! completely crazy for a forward.

i just came up with a sweet idea for someone more talented than myself. the new adam sandler movie is called dont mess with the zohan. someone could do something with franzen and dont mess with the johan? sounds good to me!

theres an mms link that you can open with any media player. winamp, vlc, bsplayer, windows media player. so if you dont want to download sopcast or tvu there is a direct versus link. Direct Versus Link there is a link, just click it and then open it with any of the above media players.

you should see ottawa right now. last year was crazy, car flags everywhere, everyone wearing jerseys, a local rapper made this terrible song about the sens but you still heard it everywhere. the city really surprised me because my whole life i made fun of ottawa for not having any real fans. they even projected the games on the front of city hall! this year there are no car flags and i dont see hardly a single jersey on the streets. no one seems to care and most people just reach into their closets where they kept their old habs jerseys and they rock those now. i swear there are more wings fans here than ottawa ones. its really quite pathetic and they are the essence of fair weather fans.

sopcast is basically the best thing that has ever happened to me! remember though, when watching the streams you cannot be downloading (torrents for example, but limewire or other p2ps are bad too) or doing much else because each viewer uploads to other viewers. most red wings streams have several hundred people watching and it only takes a few downloaders to ruin it for everyone. just remember to be considerate and you will love sopcast.

downey shows amazing restraint! he doesnt seem to just drop the gloves on a whim like some and sure he takes the odd roughing or goaltender interference penalty but that is more or less his job! the guy has done an excellent job for the wings and has been a good sport about being scratched. i want to see him in game 1 so he can play a few minutes and keep everyone calm out there. it'll be easier for our skill guys to play their game knowing downey is there even if he is on the bench.

hey wizard, yeah sopcast works from anywhere so as long as you download the software and follow the instructions on that forum you will be good to go. good luck! also you might want to try it out tonight so you have it all set up for tomorrow's game. post here or pm me and ill help you with any problems.

yeah seriously i really cant imagine there being anything there. it just doesnt make sense like having a guy like kronwall, campbell or stuart as a 3rd pair is just ridiculous. i cant imagine another 5.5-6m defenseman here.
