haha imagine what the leafs' defense would look like without kaberle? obviously the trade would have been a great one had it gone through but its still fun to think about how the leafs defense could be worse than already.

fedoruk has a history of concussion problems not to mention the fact that he recently had his face put back together. the guy never seems to win fights but rather lose them spectacularly (see boogard v fedoruk and fedoruk v orr). he doesnt really seem worthwhile at 875k.

washington's defense is abysmal. i saw them play against the sens last year so i could see ovechkin and i ended up only watching the defense because it was the worst i had seen in years in the nhl. they have a pretty solid offence now with ovechkin, nylander, semin, and kozlov leading the way so there is no reason for them to be in last place. hanlon should have been fired weeks ago IMO. if that team doesnt start performing, ovechkin will be gone before too long.

im still blown away that there are only 27 russians in the league...i never really thought about it but just assumed there were a lot more than that. thats less than one per team!

yes! i love watching downey do his thing and i would go crazy if tootoo would drop the gloves with him...but i really doubt it will happen, a boy can dream right!

i would kill to see ottawa vs. detroit because i live in ottawa and have to listen to people go on all day about how theyre the best team ever. ottawa has possibly the worst sports fans ever and i would love to watch the wings stomp the sens and alfredsson who i hate more than anything. obviously i would also be able to go to the games sporting my yzerman jersey and making heatley jokes. also did anyone else catch darren dreger on tsn saying zetterberg is the best all round player in the nhl?

in my mind a big part of that win last night was due to downey. leclaire was so pissed off that he had to be pulled to have a chat with hitchcock. lets not forget downey also ran him earlier in the game and even though he took a penalty that resulted in a PPG he sure got leclaire pissed off. i think that this type of play will be really useful as the season goes on.

so that means that it would be washington, buffalo, phoenix and then edmonton? wow that might be amazing news for edmonton then if they could get bryzgalov because clearly rolosson and garon arent starter material. it might also be funny because im sure burke would be pissed. edmonton must have a lot of cap room with all the guys they have on IR

okay to be fair to burke he isnt all bad. the kid wants to play and burke obviously sees this primarily as a salary dump but i think there is some truth to his statement about how he wants to be fair to the kid and let him go somewhere where he will actually play.

first of all mats sundin will not be leaving toronto. this is incredibly unlikely but after seeing the oilers get rid of their heart and soul last year i suppose anything is possible. if he were to leave toronto at the deadline the leafs would demand something ridiculous in return. however, mats wouldnt leave to play for just any team and i think the wings would be one of the only ones he would even consider so maybe then we could get him for less.
