Aside from his goal I thought kindl was terrible tonight. In the 3rd period alone he made 2 terrible plays that led huge chances for the leafs but petr bailed him out. Babs was totally right about kindl and when our D is healthy he has no place in our lineup. Aside from that mrazek is the only reason we won this game. I cannot wait for green and pav to be back this week!

I don't care what we are paying Jimmy. If mrazek keeps playing like he has then he should end up being the starter eventually this season because while he and Jimmy have been pretty even, his puck handling ability makes a difference and ultimately makes the team better. Furthermore if this keeps up I would look to trade Jimmy at the deadline in a package to improve our D.

It hasn't been confirmed Howard is starting blash said yesterday that he would name the starter today. Personally I'd like to see mrazek get the start today as I feel his puck handling ability will increase our speed against Tampa which is important. I'd start him today, play Howard Friday against the leafs and then go back to mrazek on Sunday against the stars. Hopefully that is what blash does.

Finally a decent effort even though they let off at the end. Another great game by mrazek. I just feel so much more confident when he is in net and I think the team feeds off that too. His ability to handle the puck once again added to the teams speed tonight because it allowed for a much quicker breakout. I hope blash sticks with mrazek for next game against Tampa. I loved smith with kronwall I have been calling for that for a while. Playing with Kronner allows smith to jump up and use his speed and I just think both have always played well together. All the other D were good tonight except kindl who was just his typical soft self. He needs to go when all our D are back. The top line was beast once more... how awesome are Z and larkin? But more importantly Nyquist and tatar both not only scored tonight but played very confident all over the ice. Hopefully this keeps up. Wings got to keep up with this effort and before we know it we will have pav and green back. Great win and much needed.

I am getting tired of Blashill always playing Mrazek on the 2nd of back to back games. He should have played Mrazek tonight. I feel the team could have benefited from his puck handling ability because Ottawa took away our space so quickly. Howard was not bad tonight, but again he was not great either. Looking forward to seeing what Mrazek can do tomorrow night.

I'd like to see sheahan sitting for a game or 2. He is playing terrible. Tatar is playing like garbage too. No excuse. Too many players are floating around out there. Also Blashill needs to stop playing the 4th line so much no wonder we aren't getting scoring chances. If mrazek is in net the game would still be tied.

Sheahan has done nothing this season. Not only is he not scoring but his lines all suck too. He needs to show us what he can do. But man the stats don't lie. Blash isn't getting what babs got out of these guys and its showing on the ice. The refs were awful tonight too.

I thought this game was ridiculous. The refs were letting the Flames take clear runs at our players, hence why Green was injured with no call on the play. Then we ended up getting some stupid penalties against us. Officials need to do a better job protecting players from getting run at. If Green did not get injured then we would have won this game hands down. I really hope that he is okay and misses just tonights game at most because he looked really really good out there with kronner.

Blashill has been making some dumb calls. I still don't get why he plays two lefties on the first pp unit point and 2 right shots on the 2nd. A smart coach would have one on each and green should be on the 1st unit anyway. On top of that we get a pp with 3 minutes to go and he puts kindl on with Kronner?! Kindl?! Just stupid. Next game I want kindl out and smith in playing with Kronner. I have always liked them together because Ericsson is a big plug. Put jurco in in the place of feraro as well. God I can't wait til pav is back.

Kindl, Quincy and Ericsson have been AWFUL this game. Kindl needed to be gone a few years ago. I see no upside in his game. Nyquist and Tatar have got to get going. There is no reason why they are playing this bad. It is time for Blash to let Larkin center his own line because Richards and Sheahan are not doing a good enough job. If not for Mrazek, the score would be even worse. Abby- Z- Nyquist Helm- Larkin- Tatar Sheahan- Richards- Pulkinin And it is time for Blash to load up with Green on the 1st PP unit with Kronwall. Try something different!

This team lost every puck battle. Unacceptable besides the same guys (zetty larkin mrazek abby green and the 4th line). Green had a very good night besides that last minute giveaway. But that was the whole night. Green had the puck for a 2nd and there were 2 Montreal guys on him. The red wings didn't win a single puck battle. The lines have zero chemistry. That is the other apparent thing. Besides our top line all the other lines are just floating around. Nyquist and tatar need to do more because larkin looks 100000 times better than either of them. I'd play Nyquist with hank and tatar with larkin because it ain't working with Richards. Also can we please bench Ericsson already ? Thank god for mrazek playing well otherwise I don't want to know the score. Can't we just fast forward to next month so we can have pav back already ?

Howard wasn't bad tonight but he showed why he is an average goalie. He made some nice saves but right from the beginning he couldn't make the timely saves that we needed. That is the difference between him and mrazek. But Howard didn't get much help. Z and larkin and Nyquist and tatar are the only forwards who really stood out to me tonight. I don't think the big problem is the forwards but rather the D. Ericsson is awful on the top pairing and needs to be taken away from kronwall. Quincy can't make a breakout pass if his life depended on it. That was the biggest problem tonight. Too many of our D were happy to just dump the puck down rather than make a pass like green or kronwall. I can't wait for DD to me back. I'd like to play smith with Kronner. I know smith had a bad game tonight but I always find that whenever he plays with Kronner he looks 10 times better. And I think his speed and passing ability would work better with Kronner. Then I'd have DD with green which will be great and then quincy can play on the 3rd pairing with Ericsson they can be purely shutdown (ish).

I agree. I think the Wings dominated puck possession last night and the Leafs had few scoring chances. The one thing I will say about last night and tonight is that the 2nd and 3rd lines need to be better. I think I would rather see Franzen on the 2nd line to add size. The refs are awful tonight. They have called every little thing against the Wings but the Canes are getting away with tons of interference and hooking, but yet no calls. I expect some powerplays in the 3rd and I see the wings turning it on led by Hank.

I forgot how bad Quincy is at passing the puck forward. All he does is kind of dump the puck down the ice or gives a hard pass that none of our players can get. I cannot wait until DD is back to play with Green. But what a period by Mrazek. He looked amazing out there showing his confidence and ability. Hopefully the boys come out and get some goals for him.

He has a tendency to let in a goal late in games where he is close to getting a shutout haha. Too much pressure maybe. But seriously I am glad to see he is playing well. I am a Mrazek supporter and I fully believe Mrazek will be our starter come the end of the season, but I really want the 2 of them to push one another to be even better.

And they both brought up some excellent points: - With Babcock gone, how does that change what Kenny does with certain players? Players like Kindl (who I do not like), Weiss, Jurco who were for sure in Babs' doghouse and potential trade candidates may get a 2nd look at by Kenny and Blash. I still say we should give Weiss another chance to be our 2nd line Center (the role he was always meant to have but never given the chance) and I think Blash will really get Jurco going. If we can sign Green and get Weiss and Jurco going under Blash, that will be much better for our team. So it was a very interesting point - Another interesting thing they brought up was players relationships with Blash and significantly Mrazek (who came in and turned the Griffs season around and won the Calder Trophy for Blash) and Howard. Basically they talked about what we already know, that Petr will likely be the guy getting more starts this season. They have, in previous episodes, debated the possibility of the Wings trading Howard, however like most of us, they see the Wings holding onto him for now, but overall in the previous episode they talked about how Jimmy has known the day was coming that Petr would take over.

Yes they do. They talk about things that I always talk about and wonder about with my friends, so in a way I get a lot of my answers. I always laugh when Art starts the show with his same line "Well hello again everyone..." haha.

I love watching this everytime it is on. Both have them have inside info on the Red Wings and they discuss things that the normal media is afraid to discuss such as Jimmy Howard vs. Petr Mrazek (when the problem first began and was being ignored), and they speculate based on accurate sources and such. All in all I enjoy watching it and I just feel like they are completely honest unlike most media. I as well suggest them to anyone who likes the Red Wings.

I disagree. I think this is a special player we have and we have an opportunity to let him play a couple seasons on the same team as Pavel Datsyuk, much like Pav got to play with Stevie and Shanny. Let Larkin player and learn from Pav.

I really liked that Kenny talked about not being happy about the early playoffs exits the past few years. For that reason he said that's why he didn't want to sign babs to more than 5 years which is an excellent point.
