Where did this news come from? All I've heard is that babs is looking for a long term contract around 5 years.

There will be changes for sure and another thing mrazek will be the starter not Jimmy. If mrazek gets it done all year then I'd like to see Jimmy moved at the deadline for a good package deal.

Dion would give Kronner a big upgrade over Ericsson. Let's face it Kronner doesn't put points up in the playoffs cuz he has to play safely Because of his D partner not being very good. I recall babs making comments about our D core last year after Boston series and everyone loved it. This to me is babs calling out Kenny for not doing enough. Babs is a smart guy. He's not insulting pav and hank he is speaking the truth. They r aging and Kenny needs to have a good off season. This was babs calling on that. I still say babs is back here next year.

This is a joke. Kronwall has not been very good? Have you forgotten Stamkos has not scored a goal yet in this series? Lots of that is because of Kronwall playing against him. Sure he does not put the points up that Lidstrom did, but Kronwall is doing a fine job imo and we have zero chance of winning game 7 without him. I swear some fans are so ridiculous. Now, if Kronners is suspended then the NHL is a complete joke. I am thinking if anything he is fined, but we will see.

I hope he's kidding. Remember that breakaway save in game 3? Remember how he stole game 1 and didn't let in a single goal in 2 games ? Maybe the team should stop allowing so many breakaways Simply put he has been our best player we would be golfing now if not for him.

What series have you been watching? Mrazek has played better in this series than Jimmy has played in any series. Keep in mind Jimmy also had Lidstrom and raFi for a few seasons as well. Mrazek has been our best player and was not the reason we lost last night at all.

If weber can smack zettys head into the boards without any suspension then I think we should be okay here. I think it was a clean hit anyways the Tampa player was crouched over. Kronners had already moved in for the hit.

The wings have lots of energy this game which is good. I felt they were nervous in the 1st and you could tell with their zone time and their shooting. They are trying to be too fancy and are making one too many passes. They just got to keep things simple by getting pucks at bishop and going to the net. I expect they will come out in the 2nd calmed down and do a better job of that.

NBCSN showed a replay of Mrazek making a save off a deflection near the end of the game. How quickly he reacted to grab it with his glove was one thing, but the replay showed how his face and his eyes were tracking it so calmly the entire time. He is just solidifying his role as starter for many years to come. I mean this is the best a goalie has played for us in a series since Chris Osgood in 2009.

Not to mention that Petr could have had 3 shutouts in a row... lol!!! He is playing crazy good! But now he also has the team playing really good as well. Just an outstanding game.

While I do agree with you to an extent, I do think it is going to be hard to come back from this sort of loss. In 2008 we were clearly a much better team than the Penguins and had Lidstrom and Rafalski as our top D, not Kronners who has to play with a pylon. I have no doubt Pav and Hank will give it all they have, just like they did against the Sharks in the playoffs and just like they tried to do last year against Boston. The problem is, Pav and Hank are the only worthy noteable veteran forwards we have from that 08 team. Kronners, despite what people think, has been doing his part. Yes I would like him to put up points, but I am happy with his overall play considering his D partner. The key to game 5 is going to be to weather the storm. I have no doubt Petr will be great, but we got to play like we have at the Joe. Continue to limit Stamkos and hopefully Glenny is back for his role. I am thinking Pav has a really big game 5 to make up for being a -3. Afterall he is the magic man haha. Nonetheless, this has been a really exciting series thus far between two good teams. Hopefully the wings can reach a new level tomorrow.

Nyquist is skating a lot better last game and this game but he is still fighting the puck a bit. I feel all he needs to do is score and he will get going. He will get one.

I have always respected Chara. He plays the game tough and is not always looking to run guys over like he could. More than that he seems like a nice person. But to play through that, well it shows you how tough hockey players are what the dedication they have.

The reason for that is because he doesn't have to give much up to get them. Trading for Bert when he was in his prime would have cost us a lot because he was arguably the best power forward in the league at that point in time. Kenny adds them past their prime because they still have the skill and can be used to enhance the level of depth that we have. Ideally had we not gotten so many injuries between 2010 and 2012 our team could have made a push for another cup. Veterans help you win the big games. That's why Kenny makes the moves.

I would even be willing to add to that. And he would no doubt play in Detroit right away lol. one could only dream haha

The wings should offer up a huge deal to try to land that pick to get McDavid if he doesn't want to play in Edmonton. Howard, Smith, mantha and a 1st to get the McDavid pick. That'd be unbelievable lol

I'd keep pav with zetty because zetty just doesn't look good enough to center his own line. Switch helm to center and have THREE good scoring lines and the solid 4th line. Zetty-Pav-abby Nyqyist-helm-ta tar Weiss-shehan-jurco 4th line. I think these lines would make the team much better. Nyquist and tatar both looked a lot better creating chances together. Shehan hasn't got it done well enough so drop him to the 3rd line to make that line better and put helm in his place.

Haha I know. I think petr would have to be extremely poor for babs to start Jimmy in a game at this rate.
