This is such a boring game!!! These lines have absolutely no chemistry. Time to change it up already! Glendinning has no place in the top 6 he has zero skill. I'd like to try putting pav and hank back together on a line with Cole. Z-pav-Cole Nyquist-sheahan -tatar Abby-glendening -jurco on D I want kronners with zidliky Ericsson needs to take the weekend off.

That is good but dont want to rush him. In my opinion, Wednesday's game is a battle of the two teams that improved the most via trades.

Why all the hate for Smith?! He has had a very good season and simply doesn't get PP time that he SHOULD get. The D pairings will be: Kronners- E D-Q Smith- Zidlicky

Excellent trade by Ken Holland. He has done a really good job this year and I think, if healthy, this team will be a force in the playoffs.

This is such a debatable issue and, for good reason. There are those who support Jimmy and simply cannot understand why fans hate on him so much and then, on the flip side, there seem to be those who want Jimmy gone. Me- I am kind of in between. In the 2013 playoffs there is no doubt that Jimmy was a big reason for the Wings success. I mean we nearly made it to the conference finals. Jimmy has the ability to steal us games, see Chicago for instance. There is no doubt he is a good goalie. But what separates him from guys like Lunquivst, like it or not, is that he doesn't win the games that matter. He has been our starter in the playoffs since 2010. Since then we have not made it past the 2nd round. Lets look at the playoffs since 2010: 2010: Lost in the 2nd round to the Sharks in 5 games. If memory serves me correctly, we were dominating game 3 of this series until Jimmy let it an awful goal by Heatly and we ended up losing that game and ultimately the series In that series, he let in quite a few soft goals. 2011: Lost in the 2nd round to the Sharks in 7 games. Jimmy was significantly better in these playoffs and cannot be faulted for losing this series We simply did not have enough guys going. 2012: 1st round loss to Nashville in 5 games. Embarssing series by the entire team. Unfortunate that this was Nick Lidstrom's last season. Jimmy was not very good as with the rest of the team. Note for these 3 seasons, JImmy had excellent Dmen and still never got past the second round, like it or not he didn't. 2013: 2nd round loss to the Hawks in 7 games. Great playoffs by Jimmy. 2014: 1st round loss to Boston in 5 games. Jimmy did not play much, but was good in game 1 but was not good in game 2. Now it is hard to assess on Jimmy in last year's playoffs but I can say I felt much more confident with Gus in net. As I said, I don't dislike Jimmy. He is a good goalie- not great. He is a team player, he never complains and is not afraid to get rough. All good qualities. BUT, he has never gotten us past the 2nd round in 4 years like it or not. Now I am not saying we need to get rid of him. But what I am saying is that I think this is going to be an important playoffs for him. Not necessarily whether we win the Cup or not but if he gives up bad goals at bad times, then I think the team might look at changes down the road. I am not basing this off of his last couple games because he just came back from injury and we all know he is far better than that. Realistically, however, this is a very important playoffs for Jimmy Howard in my opinion.

I don't think Z is seriously injured, I just think the Wings are being extra cautious with our key players this year. Remember how little Pav played to start the year because they wanted to make sure he was 100% before he played. To be honest, I don't mind Z having a few games off. He has looked tired out there so maybe rest up for a week or so and come back when we are home next would not be the worst thing for Z and the team.

What an unbelievable game. When a team wins like this, when you know they did not play anywhere near their best, were missing a top 4 dman, missed their captain for the 3rd, you know they are a good team. I cannot say enough about Mike Babcock. Whoever said earlier that they hope we have a new coach next year, this is why you are totally incorreect. Mike Babcock is the best coach in the world. His ability to instil confidence in his players is unreal. The players believe they are going to win. When the team is down, the players believe they are going to come back and they do. Yah they did not play a good game at all. But in the end, Pav stepped up, Kronners stepped up, Tatar stepped up, Abby stepped up. Leaders. Our team has so many good things and I just love watching them and am excited for the playoffs because I believe in this team.

Our only good line out there is Pavs once again. Z looks so slow and Pulk just is not ready to play on the 2nd line at all. I don't mind Nyquist on the 3rd line, but Z has nothing to work with. I am sick of seeing Jurco being wasted on the 4th line so why not give him a chance to play with Z? Yah he hasn't scored since Nov. but that is because he is playing on the 4th freakin line!!! How does Kindl come back after sucking all season and SOMEHOW GET POWERPLAY TIME OVER SMITH?!! I swear Babcock has something against Smith! Either way, the team better wake up for the 3rd.

Jonathan Ericsson is really bugging me this season. He loses too many puck battles and is often a step behind. Tonight we were dominating the stars and then Ericsson decided to go with Benn and, since that fight, the stars got going and played better than us. Any smart player would have known not to fight at that point because it would give the other team energy. On another note, Nyquist looks much better tonight on the 3rd line, I think he just needed a change. The more time is going on, the more I think I would like to see Z play with Pav again. Z looks slow and is not getting much done lately. Get him going with Pav.

I don't think Montreal is that great of a team. They are AS good as price but I think in a 7 game series we would come out over price. I don't like nyquust with pav at all in fact neither top line had chemistry tonight. I much prefer tats with pav. ID like jurco to get time playing with pav and tats as well.

Smith and pavs entire line was fantastic tonight. I thought zestys line was slow tonight. Howard wasn't great but finished strong. I am happy with our D what I would like to see us add is a big hitting forward to replace Anderson. I think that is one element that we are missing and could really use that for the playoffs.

I LOVE how the Big Buff completely interferes with Tatar before Tatar is even allowed a chance to get to the puck and no call on such an obvious play. And then a minute later the ref calls a phantom holding call. Only in the NHL. Anyway, Howard looks like he is rebounding here. He is like Ozzy in the sense that he has the ability to let bad goals in, but to bounce back in the game and come up with big saves and he is doing that now so hopefully he keeps it up. Lastly, why is DD still getting PP time?! HE is so bad on the point that it is not even funny. He just doesn't know what to do and ends up messing things up. Smith would be so much better on the point than him!

Howard looks very uncomfortable tonight. I would have sat him out until we get back onto the road. I find goalies have an easier time coming back from injury on the road than at home. If this continues I say we play Petr against the Habs on Monday because Howard looks off on every shot.

Not too worried about this game. I knew it would be a sloppy game because every time we come back east from a west coast trip the team is sloppy. The game isn't over and one thing I've learned this season is to not count out our team, but they simply look like they do after all their west coast trips

I am sick and tired of hearing this about Kronners every single time the wings lose a game. You clearly are lacking hockey knowledge if you think that. Kronners is very underrated and is a hugeeeee part of this team's success. The Bruins simply played better today. The Wings allowed far too much room at the points and that costed us the game. Simple as that. The wings will be fine and sore losers like you, who jump on our team's best players every time we lose a game are so irritating.

Pav and Hank back together, franzen playing against the avs... Losing skid is over tonight.

I am still laughing at that non call for holding the stick... what a freakin joke!! Babs really needs to take Helm off of Pav's line, Helm just has no skill and messes upp to many easy plays.

Well the lines better be changed in the 3rd because I am sick of watching these lines producing nothing for 5 games now! Babcock is a great coach but he can be so hard headed sometimes!! Wings better be much better in the 3rd because that effort was pathetic.

Well now that we are behind lets see how long it takes Babcock to change the lines. I say he probably sticks to his hard headed lines until about 5 minutes in the game when its too late.

CHANGE THE LINES BABCOCK!!! Jesus!!!

Okay first period, but I still feel some of the lines need to change. Z and Goose just seem to have no chemistry together anymore for many games now. Shake up the top lines and put Pav and Hank together because the team is still lacking energy from its forwards. Z- Pav- Abby Nyqyuist- Shehan- Tatar Franzen- Helm- Jurco I think these are much better lines for the team to find some much needed energy and offense.
