One bad game? Did you miss the terrible goal he allowed in Colorado from a terribly weak angle which allowed the Avs RITE back in the game? Did you see Howard against Vancouver; that was one of the worst performances I have seen from a goalie at the NHL level...the Wings will not get far with Howard that is a fact because of hit terrible rebound control... Ozzy needs to play hands down

Hey guys I am trying to find a song from the Joe that is played after an away goal to put into my NHL 10 game but I cant find it anywhere. So I have the song in the youtube video of game 2 agains the Pens from last years playoffs and I was wondering if you could watch it and point out the name for me. LOL yah but they are a little different... Like each team has a little tweak to it... for example the Pens goes faster... but it doesn't really matter i was just being picky ... thanks though guys.

You know what this reminds me of 2 years ago; the goalie war on here between Dom and Ozzy. Both were legitimate starters and both played solid all season. Please let it be known I am the biggest Hasek fan ever; I think he was the best goalie ever; but that season the team responded better when Ozzy was in net. I do not know why but that is how it was; they played smarter, more composed, and their excellent play in front of ozzy led to their success. However, Babs stuck with Dom and, in games 3 and 4, the Wings had leads many times but the team did not have a lot of confidence in Dom and thus those leads vanished. Then in came Ozzy and the team began to play, again, much more composed and comftorable. This is the problem on the Wings. The team, for some reason, plays more confident, smart and composed in front of Ozzy and, sure they lost, but it was Ozzy's first game in a month. If the Wings want to make playoffs, Babcock will realize that his team responds better to Ozzy in net and he needs to get Ozzy going. Now I am not saying to pull Howard forever as I agree with Ozzy that you have to keep both goalies rolling; and we sure do not want ozzy burned out come post-season. But without a doubt, if the Wings are to have success, Ozzy has to play 70% of the remaining games IMO because he is clutch, the team plays better in front of him, and he has proven all wrong in the past. Ozzy is the guy, n ow its time to roll with him and get our Winged Eagles going!

You know what, I do not often post on here as I just like to read what people think and have to say. But I am going to be honest here; I am TIRED of everyone praising Howard day in and day out and finding reasons to not place some blame on him for losses. Then the one game Ozzy plays in a month he somehow gets TOTAL blame from everyone for losing. Fact of the matter is, yes Howie as been good some games, but there are a LOT of games where he gets lucky and lately he has just been costing the Wings their leads. I know everyone likes him now but look at the L.A game... the wings had a 2-0 lead and then right at the start of the 2nd period he let in a bad goal off a bad rebound that he could not control and brought LA back into the game. Today I blame Howie for the 2nd goal (terrible rebound), 3rd goal (there was barely a screen and it was not even a good shot!) and the OT goal (REBOUND). Fact is Howie is not making the saves he needs to make for the team to win lately. I CANT believe people are on this board sayin Howie played good tonight; most of his good saves came OFF of rebounds he could not control! Another thing I wanna mention is the way that the Wings have been playing. When Howie plays the Wings seem more scared in their zone and they start diving all over the place when there is a shot because they do not have confidence in Howard. This tires them out and thus explains a weaker offense. Another problem with Howard is the fact that so many of his shots come off rebounds that Ozzy would control... we see 35 shots against the wings when Howie plays because of this, and again, takes away from their approach. The one game Ozzy played, last week, against the Caps, has actually been one of the better games I have seen the Wings play in a while now. Why? Because the team played with better confidence with Ozzy in net and in the end only allowed 23 shots on net while shooting 47 shots the other way! Why is it that the wings seemed to play GOOD RED WINGS HOCKEY (few shots against, lots of chances for them) the one game ozzy played? I think its time to find out if it continues... without a doubt, whether you like it or not, it is time for Babcock to start playing Chris Osgood. I expect Ozzy to play tomorrow night and Friday night against the Preds. And if all goes well those 2 games I say keep playing Ozzy because its time to get our true number 1 guy going...

Another question that I just want to make sure... If you are from a Canadian school, say the University of Windsor (thats where I go) would they still accept that?

I do not buy this just yet as there is only one source and I do not consider it a very good one. A Few weeks ago sportsnet also said the Ducks had traded Pronger to LA and that clearly did not happen but they were somehow certain; so hopefully they are wrong about this as well. Until I hear from mlive or TSN I do not believe it. Either way I will be happy: I want Hossa to stay but if he leaves the Wings will be good still and I wish him the best luck with his future as he is a phenominal player. With that said, hopefully sportsnet is wrong again.

I am going to be honest. I am tired of hearing all of this Hossa hate. See I am a huge wings fan and I have been my whole 18 years on this earth. Oddly enough, some times i hate my own fellow Wings fans than any other fans. Honestly some are so disrespectful to players on this team it is not even funny. Yes, Hossa did not rack up a huge amount of points, but if you go down the list that was the case for the Wings... all of them were missing some of their elements. Hossa, along with every other player (minus Sammy because he does suck big time) played good he just could not score. They were beat up, tired and etc. You can hate Hossa all you want but you are an idiot for thinking that he should not stay here in a wings uniform along side pavs, Z, Mule and the gang. You say Kenny should not resign Hossa because he did not perform for us in the playoffs? Well, lets look back a few years to when he signed Pavel Datsyuk in 2007 to a 7 year deal... Pavel was known to many as a playoff underachiver and a lot of wings fans got mad. Look how it turned out... he is THE best all around player in the world of hockey, and has been key to our success ever since. Marian Hossa is a great player and just because he did not live up to everyone's expectations this year does not mean we should throw him out the door because he will be simply another key used in the many key slots to the wings success, and in a few years from now, you will all be loving Hossa for helping bring the Stanley Cup back to Hockeytown a lot like some of you did with Pavel....

I am from Windsor and am a huge Wings fan. I am very supersticious so dont worry I am not going to be dumb and assume we are winning anything because nothing is over until you win 16 games so we need 1 more. With that said, if there were to be a parade (not saying there is going to be one yet) I am wondering if you can take a city bus from windsor to Detroit kind of like going to a Wings game? I called yesterday for Game 5 tickets and the gentleman speaking said that he was 95% sure that the Wings will open their post- season on Thursday of next week. With that said, game 1 is on Thursday, game 2 will be on Saturday, etc (every other day) just like last year.

After watching last nights game, I was reminded why ZDH is the best line in hockey. Every single one of their shifts were perfect... great forchecking, great back-checking, great chemestry, etc. I truly think it is a huge mistake to keep Zetterberg and Pavs away from each other therefore I think Babs needs to keep that as the top line for the Red Wings. I mean, their first shift last night they got a dang goal, and just kept at it all night... they are simply at their best when they are together, so lets keep it that way.

Call me crazy, but I do not think that Babs cared we lost tonight. I mean, if you watch again, he did not even bother to have Dats and Z and Lids and Rafi on the ice in the last minute+ when he pulled ozzy... I mean that alone shows that babs is not feeling pressure. Wings, for the most part, played a good road game tonight. To tell you the honest truth, I think Babs just wants to win the cup in Detroit cuz I see no other reason why he would put Filpulla, Stuart and Kronwall out there to play in the last minute plus when you have to tie a game; Babs plans to win game 4, and then raise the cup in Detroit after game 5. Really though, there were a couple things that bothered me tonight. 1) The first powerplay unit is shooting the puck as soon as they enter the zone almost every time. I think that they need to slow down and get set up; once they get set up and create better plays and are able to play back to Lids and Rafi, then they are much better. I am sure Babs will have this fixed for us by game 4. 2)I don't know if it is just me or not, but I feel that our top line for some reason plays much better having Lids and Rafi behind them. I think too many times tonight they did not play with the top line, and thus not as much production was done. Also, it seems that every time Babs splits up our defensive pairings and changes them (Lids and Lils for example) I feel that we tend to lose. So I think Babs will put it all back together like game 1 and 2. 3)Though the Wings played a good offensive game, I thought the one thing that lacked, compared to usual, was the play in the defensive end, by the whole team. I do not think that they were back- checking as hard as usual, and I think once the Penguins got in our zone, the play got a little sloppier than game 1 and 2. Wings just need to slow down and stick to their man, get the puck, and get the plays going faster. Once again, this was a minor issue that Babs will easily fix. Other than those three things that I noticed, I think the Wings played an exceptionally well game on the road, and I am fully confident that Babs will have those minor problems fixed, and the Wings will dominate game 4... regardless of tonights outcome... GO WINGS

My dreams have not failed me yet this playoff season, when i have them, and i do not think they will. I had a dream last night that the Wings won 4-2 today, and all i know is Lids scored the game winning goal on a powerplay... and Pav got a goal.... anywyas i predict wings win 4-2 ( Pavs, Huds, Lids, Clears) Then on to the SC FINALS.... GO WINGS

No. Lets be honest, the puck was just bouncing into the Dallas player's sticks.... it was like the puck did not want to go in the wings favour once. Line changes were bad at times today, so that will be fixed. Also, we are still without Mule... I think once he comes back, perhaps Monday, the 2nd line will finally be good again. Our top line was good once again, I thought Draper's line was excellent today. Sammy had a REALLY bad game. But all in all, the wings are fine, and will likely close out the series in game 6. Babs will be on their cases, they will have more desire, better passing, more puck control, more composed. I may get picked apart for this, but one might consider putting Dom in net for the wings in game 6 (if they are scored on first and if the wings are playing bad in the process). I think the wings react really good with a goalie change and with an early change they would pick it up and win. BUT, I think the wings will score at least 4 goals on monday and will blow out dallas.... NO WORRIES

Never mind about their special teams, because our penalty kill is very very good. After round 1, Babs already said he was very displeased with their powerplay and that they would use the time off to have it much better. Now, usually when Babs says something like that, he does it, so I think the powerplay will be much better come round 2, and no worry about our penalty kill.

I liked the line-ups from game 1. No matter what, I think Z-D-H need to be together... the team seems to just play better. They see that line and they want to go out and be just as good... so i say go with the lines from game 1... and of course Dom in net...

The only bad goal, in my eyes, that Dom let in was the third goal; he would admit that himself. However, you CANNOT blame him for the loss. Something I've noticed in this series... pretty much everytime Nashville scores, the wings collapse and allow another goal really quick. So, I think this loss can be looked at in a good way to show the wings to not collapse and to simply play their game when scored on... that is why they lossed last night. Lets see, Nashville scored the first goal, wings collapsed and shortly later allowed a 2 on 1 where they scored again. And after that, wings were on their backside until the end of the 2nd. Same thing happend in the 3rd period. So it is NOT dom's fault... it is the team's fault. Now, Babs will address this to the team, the team will fix their problem, Dom will come out like a wall, and wings will play very good hockey tomororw... I predict 5-1 Red wings... so have faith... don't hate on our goaltender for one freakin loss that wasn't even his fault

I noticed that too, but only in the first period. In the first period, our first line just couldn't click, which led to Babs splitting them up until the second period. But, from the second period and on our first line was solid, nothing special though. I noticed Pavs and Z had a little trouble with doing their normal moves last night... but near the end of the game they looked much more comfitorable out there. Homer looked very good all game long, I thought- his timing was good, passing was good, had some nice opportunities, good net-front presence. And I liked the other lines as well... I think Babs should stick to them...

In the schedule it says, except for Game 2 and 6, all the wings games will be on Verses AND FSD... so thank god

I do not know why everyone is so worried about the Wings. We all know Dom always steps it up in playoffs... and I think he is going to be even BETTER this year becasue idiots like Pierre McGuire keeps saying Dom will not last this year... so I think Dom is gonna play hard and prove them wrong. Also, we have the best defence in the NHL, great offence, etc. And, for what it is worth, the Wings have been playing "playoff" type games since early February; they were not puck controlling the game like usual, they had to grind the game out, and they masturd the grinding in the month of March... I am not worried at all about this series.... Wings in 5

This isn't a great game, but nothing to get overworked about. No one can blame Dom or Ozz for the goals becasue IMO there are about 2 wings that showed up tonight... Malts and Pavs... other than that the team is lousy... and Lids is Lids he always shows up.... but the team left Dom hanging, and left ozzy hangin... So this will be a BEAUTIFUL reminder to keep feet movin as we are headed to playoffs... you don't wanna be going into playoffs winning every single game so wings will just get better from this loss.... or possible comeback lol

I believe that the Wings will open their post-season next Thursday at home.
