I don't know if this will make anyone feel any better but I got an email from a close friend who happens to be a season ticket holder at the ponda asking me if I made it to my car safely without incident last night. Sadly I couldn't say I had. I explained what had happened to me, then as well all these other incidences that have popped up here on LGW... she's forwarded my descriptions on to her contact at the Ponda requesting that something be done to protect people and their safety when parties are leaving the ponda property etc. Hopefully it'll make a difference....

In 2007 at the ponda during the Western Conference Finals (Game 3 (the blow out game) a season ticket holder told me it was embarassing to be a ducks fan because they are now known as the raider nation of hockey. Their behavior is out of control. In all the years I've been going to this arena it's been getting worse and worse. I'd also like to mention that at that game the man sitting next to me was yelling at me for no good reason other than the fact that I was wearing a red wings jersey and I hadn't even said a word except for "excuse me" so I could sit down. He went so far as to threaten me after he had constantly tried to goad me into any argument he was trying to start. I had texted my friend and he came up and threatened this guy (as if the situation wasn't already uncomfortable). This friend is a ducks season ticket holder (but he also knows the head of security at the ponda- who was also standing there when my friend threatened this guy). The guy sitting next to me.. just looked at me. I thought you're not even wearing a STITCH of ducks swag... seriously.. and he was probably in his 50s. I can't even begin to explain how utterly uncomfortable that was for me. This guy was a complete donkey.

Both CalWingNut and I were grabbed by some drunk woman in the parking lot. Andy said that there was a wings fan that got jumped in the parking lot near his car and there were no police or security were around. It was lovely. I can't honestly believe people behave this way towards other human beings. It's sad and depressing.

Very nice! I told her to sign up here! It was so funny seeing one other wings fan there I had to share her pictures!! She had a rad camera too! It's funny, I read that story and I figured out within two hotels where they were staying!! Lilja and Ozzie came down to the beach and I saw them. I am sure it's a bit odd they got to see fans in their bikinis. Ozzie was like OH LOL Thanks lol

Just got back from the Wings hotel! They were out playing soccer on the lawn and having a freaking great time. I gave them a heartly let's go WINGS and a good luck! Later I wished Ozzie Good Luck when I ran into him again. Come on WINGS!!!! Oh and if you need pictures This is only picture that was taken. Hi There! Looks like Round 2 is going to be RED WINGS VS. DUCKS!! And that means it's time for RWNW to make their appearance known!!! If you're going to attend Games 3 and/or 4 at the Ponda in Anaheim, it's the perfect time for you to meet up with Red Wings Nation West (RWNW). JT Schmid's is our bar that we meet up at pre-game. If the game is at 7:30 then we will or should have enough time to meet up there first. I will definitely need to know whether you can make it. You should hitch a ride down on Thursday with puckhog419 LOL They are driving down on Thursday morning. JT Schmids is being a bear.. they no longer accept reservations for 8 people. I was going to do two tables for 8 but I wound up only getting two tables for four people for both Tuesday and Thursday. Hopefully everyone who is going can get there early enough so they will accomodate us. UGH! LOL WMU we'd love to have you!!!

They will take walk in parties however unless we are there EARLY they won't be able to accomodate us. Here's the plan - TMI and myself both have the reservations for 5pm. WE MUST GET THERE EARLY in order to make sure we can get a table that seats our entire party. I've requested they put our tables together. I have no issue getting there early enough. Please let me know immediately if this is an issue for you so at least you know in advance whether to expect you as well as you now know what to expect.

We do actually have an amazing time together. It's also really great to gather with fans that love the Wings as much as I do.. KG - yes, I'm in OC.
