    I just met Pavel Datsyuk!

Living in socal I've had the opportunity to meet the entire team - even Stevie Y. It's the COOLEST experience that you'll have forever. Congrats! I am so excited for you!!! I can't wait to see the pictures!! Hey Jedi - $5? LOL ahahahah We met Dats at the game in January 2007. When Jedi went up to Pavel to get him to take his picture Pavel said "$5" LOL ahahaha it was so funny. rossco was out here from Scotland for that game as well and he had brought a ton of different jerseys to wear and he asked me before that game against the kings which jersey should he wear. I was like wear Datsyuk. He got that jersey signed that night because we met him after the game. It's such a memorable experience.

    Winter Classic hype

It was brought up at the RWNW event on Saturday that I host the Winter Classic here. Only issue is it's 10am PST....and I am not sure how many people are going to want to be up on New Years Day and be in HB for the game. socaloveswingsnotducks - keep your eyes peeled in the Group Events forum for Red Wings Nation West events! http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showforum=14 With that said, I really wanted to go and I love the ad

    Hockey Weekend Across America

Vladimir98 received this email this morning and wanted me to share it with all of you: http://www.usahockey.com/HWAA/default.aspx Dear Friend of Hockey – Please take the time to read this note regarding Hockey Weekend Across America, presented by Reebok. After the initiative launched with great success in February 2008, with your help, we're looking to make the second-annual event even better. Hockey Weekend Across America will be celebrated in the United States on President's Day weekend, Feb. 13-15, 2009. While USA Hockey leads the initiative, it will again take the effort of all hockey entities across the country to put programs in place to make the event a true success. Not only do we want to celebrate our great game and those involved in the sport at all levels, but we also hope to expose hockey to new audiences. Similar to last year, each of the three days of Hockey Weekend Across America will have a theme. Here are a few ideas of programs that could be implemented to go along with the daily themes: Friday - Wear Your Jersey, sponsored by ShopUSAHockey.com Wear your favorite hockey jersey from any level (youth, high school, junior, adult, college, pro) to school, work, etc. Conduct hockey programming in schools or the work place (floor hockey tournaments, contests, guest speaker, local hockey celebrity reading in schools, etc.) Saturday – Bring A Friend To The Rink, sponsored by the NHL Host open house to expose hockey to those who haven’t played (learn to skate program or similar) Bring a friend(s) to your game Bring a friend(s) to a youth, high school, junior, college or professional game who hasn’t ever had a chance to attend Sunday – Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes, sponsored by Liberty Mutual's Responsible Sports Honor your favorite coach, timekeeper, official, player, etc., through a special recognition event, by way of a media story or through a feature on your website (or all of the above!) Conduct a fund-raising event in which your local hockey heroes are honored Host an open house at which some of your local hockey heroes address attendees and talk of the benefits of participating in hockey The following pieces of information will help you: 1. Begin planning how you will celebrate Hockey Weekend Across America today! Now is the time to meet with the appropriate people in your organization and discuss creative ways you can be a part of the celebration. Be sure to pass this document on to as many people as appropriate. 2. HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com is the official communicaton hub for the event. The event logo, along with usage guidelines, is available for download. Please feel free to use the logo and add your marks appropriately. You will find additional information and material as time moves forward, including public service announcements, P.A. scripts, mock news releases, etc. Also available on the website is a listing of last year's featured events from around the country, to give you an idea of how the entire hockey community got involved. 3. As part of the festivities, HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com will include a place for fans to register for a chance to win their favorite NHL jerseys as part of Hockey Weekend Across America's Great Jersey Giveaway, presented by Reebok. Registration begins on January 7 and will run through February 12, with a total of 15 jerseys being given away during each of the three days of Hockey Weekend Across America. 4. We’ve developed a competition and prize structure for the best Hockey Weekend Across America programming. A contest entry form is available at HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com. The grand prize is 25 sets of OneGoal starter equipment plus $2,000 cash, with five runner-up prizes of $1,000 cash. 5. Any questions regarding Hockey Weekend Across America can be e-mailed to HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica@usahockey.org . We encourage you to visit HockeyWeekendAcrossAmerica.com often for updates on happenings related to the event. It is important that everyone involved in hockey participate in this weekend celebration in some fashion. Have fun and thanks in advance for your efforts. Please share this information with as many people as possible. Yours in Hockey, The USA Hockey Team

I have the 55cm one. I'm 5'4 and weigh 135 (FIFTEEN POUNDS LEFT TO LOSE). I would think the 65cm would be best for you. Today, I've got dance from 11:30-12:30, then again from 5:30-6:30 and then yoga from 7:30-8:30 with a friend I went to high school with that I promised I'd take class with her.

don't get a tiny ball - the bigger sized ball actually will work better for you. There's a lot more you can do than just an ab workout on it..but let's cross one bridge at a time... The plank on wii fit is nothing in comparison to what I'm explaining It's like the junior version of exercise LOL I will never forget when Keith introduced it. I was like are you kidding? He's now got one where you get in plank on one side of the room and it's like a minute or three minute long exercise where you start in plank and on your elbows hold it for 16 counts, then walk (yes, on your elbows and toes in PLANK)..er crawl for 16 counts, then sway (more like twist but it's hard to explain this way) your hips side to side for 16 counts, then repeat...... luckily i couldn't do this one because of my foot when I do plank now I have to put my right ankle over my left to relieve the pressure from my toe.... it's more challenging for sure!

I've got several Edi - get yourself an exercise ball http://www.exerciseballworkouts.net/ This website has some amazing picture by picture illustrations for you to compare to. My personal trainer basically put me on this thing ALL the time. UGH. I normally love it for situps/half crunches because you seriously have to use your stomach muscles to get up and down. Make sure you always leave your head dropped back and your chin to the ceiling - ALWAYS... There's even video here for these - http://www.exerciseballworkouts.net/core-a...ll-workout.html There's a couple of plank exercises too...they are so freaking difficult - we do them in dance. Here's the plank - Side Plank - Side Plank - OK and if you're really insane like my dance teacher - all these gets put together with a few others and we have to do them consecutively - it's like 10 minutes straight where we start with the plank - hold for 16 counts, then lift one foot off the floor, then switch, then we side plank and drop our hips for 16 counts, then pulse our hips (dropping the hips to the floor using your core to pull yourself back up again) for 16 counts, then switching sides, then back to the right, twisting with our left elbow to the floor and up again, then holding it for 16 counts, then switching to the other side, then holding the plank (also this isn't on a bent elbow with your elbow and forearm on the floor - it's with the support of ONLY your hand on the floor, then back to plank - holding it for 16 then twisting your hips side to side (touching the floor with your right hipbone/side, then the left hipbone side. Then holding it for another 32 counts. I think I'm leaving something out - but you get the slight idea that it's HARD...
