I've got my passport. I'm ready However, February sounds better especially since the Wings are in Cali October 13 and 14th and I'll be attending those games.

I will never forget watching this ceremony at work on my pc. I was crying and I was hoping no one would come around the corner seeing me reduced to tears that I couldn't find a way to stop. It's been a year, and it seems like forever ago I saw him play hockey. My exhusband and I were going to fly there for the parade. Tickets would've been $2500 bucks for us to fly. My neighbors all heard us yelling and screaming..we took a victory walk to the Baskin Robbins for ice cream wearing our wings gear with our dogs. I remember going into the Baskin Robbins telling the guys that worked there OMG THE WINGS WON THE STANLEY CUP! The look on their faces..."the what?" One of our neighbors stopped us on the way back and said we heard you cheering LOL (they are kings fans) lol

I've been trying to tell everyone that no one here in CA cares that the ducks won. It's not a huge deal here. It's VERY sad and it sucks. It's awful for the sport of hockey no matter how you look at it. If it had been the Kings - it would've been an ENORMOUS deal... the ducks, not so much. Breaks my heart.

We meet, go to games. talk on IM, you don't get that on detroitredwings.com and you won't ever... LGW is the first site I check when I want UP to the second hockey information. Even if there's no article posted on the front page (as you will soon have) someone's posted a thread on the forum and that's good enough for me. It's too bad we couldn't just reroute everyone from detroitredwings.com to LGW.com Not to mention, this is as live as a site can be with information due to member activity without the fancy updates

Well living in California - I'd have to say this is pretty much true what Rome said. In fact, I'd also like to mention that NO one here is celebrating and I don't live all that far from Anaheim. It's like just another day - nothing happening... makes me REALLY sad. Congrats!

Your desktop wallpaper is the Yzerman Mural and you actually took the picture of it and don't even live there. July 3, 2006 you emailed your friend with the 8 season tickets to the JLA and told him Yzerman just announced his retirement and I MUST BE THERE no matter when it is and if I can only have 1 ticket, it doesn't matter. It's not a birthday for you without some Red Wings Merch. You explain the game of hockey in a place where you hope hockey will become more popular in the likes that you will recruit MORE Wings fans...
