I did not realize how spoiled I am these days as a Red Wing fan until I was pouting to a friend after the New Years Eve loss and she said "you can't win 'em all" and I was astounded. It was like someone hit me over the head with one of Mickeys old Sherwoods! "Can't win 'em all"?? What a concept.

Sure, be all analytical if you must. But you see, I don't want to keep my emotions or my "heart" out of it. If you do not have your heart in it, then why bother? Hockey is an emotional game. Hockey fans are emotional beings.

Wayne might just be a swell guy and all, and no doubt the great one when it comes to players but the guy cannot coach and everyone seems to notice it except him. Good player does not = great coach. If he truly cared about his team, he would step down. He is making an ass of himself at this point.

Oh thats an easy one. Before a game I get out my Tarot cards and my Ouija board. I recite incantations, douse myself in holy water and dance around naked. I then light a bunch of candles and , lastly, I sacrifice a duck on an altar. (It used to be a chicken, but after last year ... well...)

Thats the thing... you NOTICE MORE when Rafalski makes a mistake because he does not do it often. But Lilja? Its not such a big thing anymore because it happens so often. Its just like 'yup, he effed up again'.

I agree. Lang and his stank attitude can stay in Chicago and rot there. The only player I wish we could add would be Jiri Fischer ..... sigh

Some of the best posts I have seen and I agree. Don't mess with the game. I don't mind a low scoring game at all; it just means there was some wicked fine defence and great goaltending. Who can argue with that??

And Lidstrom did not sit on his duff for half the season trying to decide if he wanted to even play any more. Puh-leez.
