Got mine for lunch as well. They tasted like ... victory!

I purchase Center Ice every year and to me its totally worth the price. I am not just a Wings fan but a hockey fan and the fact that I can watch so many games is so great. I totally get my moneys worth.

Hossa is a great hockey player and a pleasure to watch and, from all accounts, a hard worker and a gentleman. Why on earth boo someone like him? We could not pay him what he is worth so he went to a team that could. Nothing more, nothing less.

Meh.. Pens fans are wannabe's. I think they thought that by winning the cup they would magically aquire some class and be on par with the Wings and their fans. That failed so they are pissy. Pens + cup still = same ole sorry Pens Guess it stings a bit.

I really hate it when a team from the Eastern Conference wins the cup. When the Wings got knocked out in previous seasons, I always root for the West team even though they beat us. I have an irrational distain for Eastern Conference teams.

If you can get over it and move on, then good for you. I can't. Not yet. I am disappointed, sad and pissed. Its all just still too new and emotions are too raw. I intend to wallow in it for awhile.... color me 'shallow' if you will.

Hating players "because they are SOOOO good" makes no sense. If you are truly into hockey then you like or at least respect good players. Sid is not hated because he is good or because we are all soooo jealous of him or wish and hope and dream that he was on our team. Uh no. I wouldn't take him for free. Sid is not the best player in the league; he is not even the best player on the Pens. Sid is hated because of how he acts and represents himself. Have you ever heard the saying "to whom much is given, much is expected"? If he is going to assume the position of 'face of the NHL' and embrace all the spoils of it then maybe he should brush up on some humility and some leadership skills.
