HUDLER I have been a Hudler supporter for quite a long time (even before it became cool ... see my old posts). I knew he had it in him and I am so happy to see him living up to his potential. I am on the fence with Flip and Sammy I would not miss at all.

Great game so far. AO just scored a PP goal and looked great doing it too. I like the goalie match-up now of Jiggy vs Theodore (Hiller was yanked) and was also just a fight to keep things interesting. I am enjoying this game;I give it two thumbs up, good fun for the whole family!

Well the Pens announcers sure took offense to the article. You should have heard them yesterday, it was laughable. I guess Sid is semi-injured or some such crap and everytime he did ANYTHING out there on the ice they chimed in with "and an injured Crosby just made that great pass, wonder what Semin would say about that?" , "and an injured Crosby just made an incredible shot.. gee Semin, guess he isn't that good though right?". UGH! Enough already. Semin is entitled to his opinion but by bringing it up all day/everyday they just brought more attention to the whole situation. (Oh and I guess they are still pissy about Hossa too. They mentioned that "Malkin has the second best point streak, number one being Marion Hossa" and the other dumbass announcer says "ummm WHO?? ". They need to get over it. Seriously.)

Sigh... I have to agree. And no one loves Fedorov more than I (hence the name). He will always be one of my favorite Red Wings of all time but I think retiring numbers should be reserved for players who were truly extraordinary or it starts to mean less and less. (Oh and if Shanahan's number ever hangs there, you will find me hanging on a noose right next to it!)

The Phil Esposito book (Thunder and Lightening) is one of my faves. It really gives you an insight into how things were done back then and how hockey has changed but also remained the same.
