    Pavel wins Selke #3!

Haha, Luc Robitaille presented him the trophy. I remember when Dave Lewis experimented with a Datsyuk-Robitaille pairing. That didn't last very long. EDIT: Forgot the word, "last".

    2010 NHL Awards Show

Why couldn't they get DMac to perform? "Step outside, step outside... Of your mind..."

    2010 NHL Awards Show

In a way I'm kind of glad Howard didn't win it because now he has something in common with Stevie, Nick and Z.

See I think they're also pumping St. Louis's tires as well for the Byng.

Armchair GM for the WIngs - Whats your ideal roster?

    Back on topic though, sorry SK. For me it's pretty much standard. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Filppula-Franzen Hudler-Helm-Cleary Miller/Ritola-Abdelkader-Eaves Lidstrom-Kronwall Stuart-Rafalski Ericsson-Lilja Kindl Howard-Osgood

Czechs, actually. That roster is a lot of fun on NHL 10, not gonna lie.

    Bufyglien traded to Thrashers

How the hell did they get a 1st and 2nd round pick? Isn't that pretty lucky for Chicago?

Will anybody here be surprised if the Wings come out empty handed?

Armchair GM for the WIngs - Whats your ideal roster?

Screw the rules. Franzen-Zetterberg-Alfredsson Ovechkin-Datsyuk-Radulov Ruutu-Filppula-Ruutu Michalek-Krejci-Hudler Lidstrom-Kronwall Stuart-Weber Suter-Rafalski Miller Howard What? It can be fun to play NHL 10 every now and again.

    Jason Spezza...

I thought he did. Then Tampa came back when even more money and that's when Stevie took it.

    Jason Spezza...

Anyone else think he has the worst laugh in the NHL? Is that something teams can use in the negotiation process? "You can really rack up the points but I've got another scoring center on line 2 with a less dorky laugh. You're gonna have to meet me halfway here and I don't mean the way you halfwayed that illegal stick of yours."

Nill says the Wings could trade up

That's not how I remember that draft at all. I remember how writers went on and on about how deep last year's draft was and how Jimmy Nill said that a wide majority of teams went home really happy after the draft was over.

Do Wings fans want another Yzerman?

Bahahaha!!! You should've said, "Hell yeah!" or "Give me a hell yeah!" It's too bad that in reality the stone cold stunner does jack s*** whenever performed on someone else. I think Lilja should sharpshooter Matt Cooke. As far as I know that's the only finishing move that can actually hurt in real life.

Do Wings fans want another Yzerman?

Man my original post reminded me of those minority of Wings fans who somehow find a way to dislike everything Yzerman does. Anybody ever seen those blogs? They make claims like "Yzerman was selfish for taking that shot on Jon Casey during Game 7 because it could've hit the glass and turned into an odd man rush the other way." It's like get the f*** outta here, man...

Holland Looking to sign an Enforcer

The 1997 team was by far the toughest. You had Shanny, Mac, Kocur, Lapointe had great upper body strength. Plus you had Vladdy who, even though he didn't fight all that much, was the kind of player that teams absolutely hated to play against. I think a lot of us are begging for a team like that again.

Do Wings fans want another Yzerman?

I don't think I'll ever be. To me it's kind of like, "Will I ever be ready to be a parent?" At some point you just have to jump in and find out.

    Sakic vs Yzerman Debate

Well, like I said, some of it. And on an internet forum you always have to expect a decent degree of irrationality. But, yeah, haha, what if Yzerman and Sakic turn out to be the same person or something like that? Like that one Family Guy episode where Rush Limbaugh and Michael Moore are actually Fred Savage in disguise getting everybody all riled up. That's real power right there, haha. I'm not exactly sure about this but when it comes to Red Wings versus Avs I think most hockey fans believe the Red Wings started the rivalry. Even though we see the image of Claude Lemieux/Draper more than anything I think a lot of hockey fans feel like Slava Kozlov started the whole thing.

Who Do The Wings Draft in the First Round?

I think it'd be fun talk about players who are fair game for the Wings 21st pick and then vote on them. You can add the poll any time you want but I'm not sure exactly who's within the wide variety of players likely to be around at the 21st pick.

    Sakic vs Yzerman Debate

I think some of it might be the hate for the Red Wings in general.

Who Do The Wings Draft in the First Round?

If Bjugstad falls into the Wings hands I'll probably dance in the street, you know? It's like, "Finally! A potential franchise center!!!"

Holland Looking to sign an Enforcer

Speaking of enforcers, or rather, a big reason why enforcers exist, Matt Cooke is re-signed by the Pens for the next three years. Yep, guess I still have to hate them with a passion.

Holland Looking to sign an Enforcer

True but the pro enforcer people on here know all too well the way Kenny appreciates or perhaps unappreciates the value of enforcers and true toughness and whatnot.

Holland Looking to sign an Enforcer

I felt like that article was more of a downer to those who desperately want some classic toughness on the team. I mean, "If we can't fit it in, we would go without it." Not something I imagine the pro-enforcer crowd likes to hear.
