Still don't understand what's so appealing about him to the womens.

I want a new Vladdy...

Overall I don't think today's Russians can put together a lineup that can beat the Russian Five. LD - Fetisov versus Gonchar RD - Konstantinov versus ...????... Volchenkov??? RW - Fedorov versus Malkin C - Larionov versus Datsyuk LW - Kozlov versus Ovechkin Ovechkin and Gonchar probably win the one on one individual battles but as a unit I think the Russian Five was A LOT more cohesive than today's potential all Russian unit. I just think that with Ovechkin, Malkin and Datsyuk that you have way too many guys that want the puck and so we wouldn't see nearly anything that resembles the endless cycles that the Russian Five used to play. Plus, the Russian Five all learned hockey in the same Soviet system, which they credit to the way they play so well together.

The 2010 All-****** First Team Avery-C-Word-Burrows Pronger-Jovanovski Anybody got a second team in mind?
-
Definitely Pronger. Not even a doubt in my mind. I'd love to have him on the team. He might be able to really help out Ericsson and Kindl.

Lebda is making salary demands? The f***?

Looks like Biffooguhlinn will get some Holmstrom treatment next game Dan'O is there.
-
Haha. Sorry, I wasn't arguing with you. Just some banter with Mindfly citing the names you had. I'd be willing to bet that Smith takes 2 to 2 1/2 years. In regards to a forwards spot, Draper's contract comes off the books in 2011, which could open up a spot for Tatar.
-
I'm just begging for a new player like Vladdy over here. Does anybody here agree with those who think Vladdy was the Wings' best player when they won the cup in 97?
-
As far as forwards go, Filppula was there for barely over one year; Helm was there for almost two years as his '08 playoff run was after his first year in GR and Abdelkader was there for about one and half years. Hudler was there for three years but he had to deal with some maturity issues along with the speed of the game. Of course defensemen and goaltenders will spend a lot more time in GR though. There's a lot to learn.

It's not like that anymore. Now it's in to ar to in to uk to uk. Malkin Gonchar Ovechkin Datsyuk Kovalchuk
-
You gonna start fights with him so that he fights you and only you?
-
Bertuzzi states he will either stay with wings or retire

Who is officially a Cleary hater? Or at least someone who wants to get rid of him right now? -
I suppose but as far as I know, I haven't heard anything about Duncan Keith's testicles nearly rupturing; nor is Seabrook nearly injured from top to bottom.
-
He checked out like how Leino did as a Red Wing only it was during the WHL playoffs. By some accounts he tuned out the coach and just floated around game after game until he got healthy scratched. A lot of Rebels fans wanted him out after that. Probably still do. Edit: Links. Maybe it's no big deal. I'm not sure. Doesn't look good though.

Lashoff was in 08. He got signed along with Raedeke. In regards to Ferraro, you hope he'll pull it together. Somehow he just naturally has the unconditional support of many Wings fans; maybe because of his blood lines, I'm not sure. But his bad attitude this past year resembled some of the same behavior Brendan Smith used to show in practice and during games. I think he'll eventually be an NHL player but because he was the first pick of the Red Wings in 09 I think we all expect him to be a sure fire top six player and right now the outlook has fallen fairly significantly from what it used to be. He's got one year left in juniors before he takes a shot at the AHL. Hopefully he plays well.
-
If he wasn't scratched he wouldn't be playing as well as he is now. There's no way he wants to go back to being scratched.
-
I hope Joakim Andersson will get to be Tatar's linemate next year. Get Tatar with a good center and then a Franzen-like winger and you got a really good line. Tatar-Ferraro-Nestrasil. The '09 Line!
-
Gives us something to talk about this year since the Wings are no longer in the playoffs.
-
Well you can cross Seidenberg off your list now right?
-
My thinking is that everybody eventually goes through an immature stage. Some just handle it differently. Who knows where Tatar is at this point.

Detroit picks at 21. Somehow Getzlaf slipped to 19 back in the day. Hope the Wings can get that lucky.
