IMO, it's very likely that he'll hit a sophomore slump wall in same way shape or form at some point during next year. That's just how it seems to be for most rookies. Right now he's pretty happy with the way in which his rookie year went. Now I'm pretty sure he's setting some pretty lofty goals for next year. There are gonna be times where he plays bad and it doesn't seem like he'll reach those goals and it'll test him pretty well. I hope he comes out of it stronger.

Yep. That's his move. His highest percentage move so far. I remember he himself admitted that he never decides what to do until after he gets a read on the goalie.

Not enough room on the bench. Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk. But seriously, I'm not sure if I've ever seen a head coach take a demotion to being an assistant coach for an NHL team, especially someone with the resume of Ken Hitchcock.
-
He has a much better chance playing like Pronger than he does Lidstrom.
-
Tomas Tatar and Sergei Kolosov. Or Siarhei Kolasau. I don't know why his name has two different spellings.
-
At the end of the day I don't think it's possible to try to be like Lidstrom. He's one of the most gifted hockey players to ever play in the NHL. I think a guy like Ericsson has the ability to be more like Pronger. He won't ever be as good but I can see him being effective at the things that Pronger likes to do (other than the cheap stuff).

No wonder he smells.

What the...? Really??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HMDYWX0nPo Drake is that you?

The top two seeds of the West versus the bottom two seeds of the East. Interesting. Based on the way things have gone this year I might think the winner of the cup will come from the East. Expect the unexpected. Oh, and I really, really hope the Red Wings video coach is saving footage of Chris Pronger's performance so far. Jonathan Ericsson needs to study the way Pronger has played in these playoffs until he believes he starts to see a gap in his teeth.

Purity rings and Grey's Anatomy.

I don't want to call it blame but I think you could definitely point to the Red Wings mini youth movement. The stars for the most part did their jobs. Guys like Howard, Helm, Eaves, Miller, Abdelkader, etc., needed the playoff learning experience.

Pav has a better chance of convincing Frolov to take a pay cut and even that at this points seems dead in the water.

Ovechkin scores! 3-1 RUS.

Thanks. Uhveechken. Fyodrov. No Bryzgalov? Ruh-roh. Hager and Semin to the box. No bongo fighting though.
-
I don't remember Mac and Joey ever being on the same line though.
-
I don't have a stream yet but apparently the first PP unit is Kovalchuk-Datsyuk-Frolov with Ovechkin and Emelin? on the back end.
-
What other examples are there? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Andreas Jamtin.
-
I wasn't sure where that came from. I've just had a lot of teachers who pronounce it that way. With everybody in the class looking at each other and snickering a little at first.
-
Yes it does. At the same time, I'm a little happy that they have the time off and can get better workouts and whatnot to prepare for next year. I couldn't bear to watch them towards the end of last year's run and this whole year. Too many guys just look so worn down.

Hey wait a second, how many teams lost a Game 7 at home in these playoffs so far? Warshington, Pittburgh, Pheonix, Boastin... Anyone else? Seems like home ice can be a disadvantage because teams tend to focus better on the road and have less distractions.
-
Hmm... That pic should be framed and hung up inside the Bruins locker room.

No arguably about it for me. He racked up a lot of points and pluses for being the third line center. He was clutch.

History was just made.
