I thought you gave up being a fan?

Hahahaha!!!! Go f*** yourself Pens! Hey, where's Pens Guy or whatever his name is to tell us to "Check ourselves"?
-
Yeah I don't buy that bulls*** either. You can develop perfectly fine in the SEL.
-
"I more pass, you more shoot, work the rebound."

If Nick returns, they should keep it for as long as he wants to play. Then after he retires rename the new arena as the Nick Yzerman Arena or something like that.
-
But... The Joe... That's their home. ... What makes it even worse is that the new arena will probably have some dumbass name like Shell Gas Station corporation arena or some Godforsaken bulls***. Don't know why I chose Shell, probably because I just refilled my car today.

Oh he had some gaffes every now and again. He definitely had to adjust to playing over 4 minutes on the PK per game in a playoff like atmosphere. But that's to be expected. He only averaged like 30 seconds last year or something like that. Now he's the #1 guy. That will definitely take some adjustment.

So is there a lot of inbreeding going on with Pens fans or...?

I'm glad the Wings have a ton of experience that they can use to stay calm and collected in pressure situations. They believe in themselves and that's a really good characteristic in sports. On the other side of that coin I thought we saw some behavior from the Wings that implied perhaps a pitfall from such an abundance of experience. I stole these quotes from a thread on HF but they do make a concerning point. Doesn't it worry anybody else that the Wings locker room has that kind of attitude, culture, demeanor, overconfidence or whatever you want to call it? Cleary and Bertuzzi make it sound as if the tendency within the team is to set themselves up for failure.

Wouldn't count on it. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=767794

I'd like for him to push some weights and be able to hit more consistently next year.
-
They really need to stop saying that "He scored 50 in junior" silence filler.
-
This is just EuroMan's schtick on the RedWingsCentral.com forums. He says that s*** all the time but never offers a valid solution as to who would be a better coach or better fit. People take the bait, waste some more time and are never better for it.

He already said he doesn't want to play in the AHL anymore. Unless the Wings sign him on as their #6 then he ain't coming back.

Another mock draft written way earlier in the year has Jeff Skinner as the 22nd pick. One of the top scorers in the OHL, herearns raves as much for his consistently high energy level as his elite one-on-one skills. His size might scare off some teams, but given the success of other smaller players, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him go much earlier. Scout's Take: "He's like a wind-up toy. Turn his crank, send him over the boards and watch him go." Second Take: "He's an exciting player to watch. You'll be looking at another guy and he finds a way to grab your attention."
-
He might want to go to Vasteras anyways. He'd probably learn more there.
-
Must get more scoring from the bottom six. Must.

If we're going after another Russian then I'd like to get Alexander Radulov. He did pretty well in the Olympics.

Is it October yet? Seriously...

At the end of the day I believe that they gave everything they had especially when you consider how deep in the playoff they were the past few years and how they weren't able to train properly and whatnot. I just wonder if the win in 2008 has mentally and emotionally pushed them to the point where they won't have the urgency to win another.

Well, decent as in he was among what was left at that time within free agency.
-
I'm hoping he'll eventually become a Brad Stuart type. He is quite a work horse.

How about this? Vladdy's daughter is around 20 or 21. She and Nick's oldest son could create the best defenseman in the the game. Shanny's son is around 8 or 9. Pav's daughter is around 7 or 8. They can create the best new age power forward in the game. Nick's second oldest son is a couple years old than Stevie's second oldest daughter. They can combine to create the best two-way forward in the game. And there you have your Red Wings franchise players.

Can't wait for the GDTs as we watch Datsyuk, Ericsson, Tatar and Kolosov.

Near middle of the pack. Ranked #7 at 81.2%.
