This year the PK rotation was rather interesting in regards to the forwards lineup. It was something along the lines of: Helm-Eaves Cleary-Miller Helm-Eaves Zetterberg-Filppula Helm and Eaves were out for the 1st AND 3rd shifts. Has Babs done that before in the past? I honestly took the PK for granted before 08-09 so I didn't particularly notice who was out there but I do remember in 08 the rotation was something like Draper-Cleary, Zetterberg-Franzen/Filppula, Datsyuk-Drake. Did Helm and Eaves have that kind of rotation because they were simply better at it or... what?

Haha, I was curious and so I looked it up. He spent a total of 59 seconds on the PK in all of this past season.
-
Haha. George makes quite the analogy on Jason Williams.

Some who have followed Kindl for a while say that once he plays in the NHL he'll be fine. Their main contention is that a lot of Kindl's giveaways, which are the most frustrating part of his play, were as a result of teammates who aren't skilled enough to receive certain kinds of passes or aren't consistently in the right position to receive a pass. It's exactky like what Babcock said about Ericsson a few days ago on how he makes skill plays that guys aren't ready for. Guys like Lebda and sometimes Lilja and even some of the checking forwards. I'm sure that kind of observation is valid but whether or not it's a positive or negative indication of their abilities as players I have no idea.

The people at RWC not enough for you?

Any way we can watch him? I'd like to see if he can create any magic.
-
Hope he's able to not be as injured for next year as well!

Ehh... I like winning. Winning winning winning. Beating a rival for anything is just icing on the cake and I like my cake without icing.
-
He was robbed a goal. Tsk tsk.
-
Sigh... No. Nick himself said that he simply had him apply just in case they actually move to Sweden. It's like getting accepted into different colleges. If Nick stays then Kevin will continue to go to CC. CC... Booooo! Haha.

They can't. In seemingly every possible way the Wings are stuck with him.
-
That's not superstar treatment. "Superstar treatment" implies that guys like Sedin and Parise receive the same kind of treatment. What he gets is probably special treatment at its finest.
-
I don't understand how he gets away with that stuff.
-
He's definitely up there. The last playoff run is still fresh in my mind. Joe Thornton definitely has similar ****** characteristics. And Setoguchi has probably lost the respect of Wings fans everywhere. Not that it mattered to him in the first place though.

Season was already over at that point, haha.
-
Wish they would've traded away Williams instead of Leino but I guess nobody wanted Williams.
-
I think a line of Leino-Abdelkader-Miller could've chipped in some clutch goals. Leino did perform well in last year's playoffs.
-
Yeah he signed a three year contract after the cup win.
-
He's done better in these playoffs than Jason Williams has ever performed in any playoff game.

I think Philly is one of those teams that clearly defines their scorers as scorers and checkers as checkers. They're not like the Wings in that everybody on the team is expected to contribute in every aspect of the game somewhat.
-
"Are you an expert?" ???? And what you said can be a part of what I was getting at. Just to re-emphasize my concern, it's as if they don't think the game or their opponents are much of a challenge unless they're down three games in a series or on the brink of elimination.

Which free agents or whoever could possible be brought in to play the right point on the PP?
-
Sure you can come up with examples of when so and so dived but for the most part the Wings have to be among the teams that dive the least. Franzen's dives are glaringly embarrassing but they happen like once a year. It's not like he deserves a reputation like Burrows or whoever.

His son still has at least his grandparents over there. And I'm sure a bunch of other family members I'm sure.

It certainly looks that way at times but I don't think lazy is the best word for it.
