Like I said before. When it comes to sports and probably a whole lot of other things I hate the city of Boston more than anything. At the same time, I really, really hate the Pens and I really, really don't want to see Hossa and Kane get a cup. Boston beating the Pens in the playoffs would be like fair justice for me.

Tollefsen is LONG gone. I'm surprised no one here has mentioned it. He's already decided to play for the SEL or KHL or something like that. Kindl has size but doesn't use it for s***. Surprise, surprise.

Exactly. Guys with some good size who aren't injury prone or skinny as a coat rack. Guys that can throw their weight around.

Eaves and Miller have done an excellent job for the Wings. At the same time, if they can find players with the same speed, work ethic and tenacity who have more bulk to withstand the pounding of NHL Hockey then I say go for it. But that will be hard to find.

As far as goaltending goes, is there now a trend to invest more into team defense with good goaltending instead of "great"? That kind of sucks for goalies who really want to make the big bucks and win at the same time.

Sigh... I just don't get it. I mean... Why is he even an option at this point? Mike Babcock is one of the best coaches in the league. In his own mind he sees something useful about Williams. Time and time again Willy underwhelms. I just don't get it.

Dude, you should come on these boards when the Wings have the odd game where are down 4-0 by the end of the first. A LOT of people here wishing that they would goon it up. But they don't. For better or for worse, the Wings simply don't do that. They really don't. Trust me. Ask any staunch enforcer supporter on LGW or any Red Wings fan anywhere. I guarantee you that they will say the Wings simply don't do that when they're getting killed.

Goaltending can really kill a team's confidence. Especially 64mil goaltending with a 5.3 cap hit.

Apparently he has a great working relationship with Jiri Fischer. I wish Fish would teach him about having a little more snarl to his game.

The needs of the Wings in my view: Top six forward. Right point man on the PP. More strength and sandpaper within the bottom six. I kind of wish the Wings could steal him away.
