Super mega ultra del... Someone don you with that title or something?
-
So what do we think these days about the best fit for Filppula in regards to a more appropriate forward position? Center or wing? I like that Filppula can concentrate on shooting when he's on Datsyuk's wing. Significant minutes with Pav should help him to shoot more.

It seems like Franzen and Datsyuk work really well together during the regular season. In the playoffs, on the other hand, Franzen works better with Zetterberg because they both just like to shoot it from anywhere while the other gets it back, which works better during the playoffs where players don't have a lot of room.

The lease ending this summer? So his house is for sale? I know it's public information but I don't know how to check it. -
Haha. Pretty much.

Sub May in for Draper.

Babs does have quite a boner for Ericsson.

Well the level of opponents weren't nearly as good as San Jose for one. And while they did win a lot of games they still looked hampered and I don't think they gave any sixty minute efforts in any of them.

Mike Babcock quotes about Lidstrom. He said these during the 2nd round of the 2008 playoffs. I added the "Well"s just cuz he's Babs and that's how he begins every interview answer. "(Well), I've never coached anybody this good, as consistent, as intuitive, that has as great understanding of the game and is as tuned in to what's going on." "Well, I think he is (the most valuable player in the league) bar none. The amount of minutes he plays, how plus he is, what he does power play, penalty kill, even strength. To me he's the best player in the world. I say that time and time again. I know I'm a lot better coach when he's in the lineup. He's our leader. He's a quiet man who in my opinion is as good a professional, and I'm talking in any business there is. He's an unbelievable guy, and we're so lucky to have him and fortunate. He, to me right now, even though people talk about Zetterberg and Datsyuk, he's the face of the franchise, and he's the guy who leads the way." "(Well), to understand how good he is, number one, you gotta understand hockey. You gotta see him on a consistent basis. I never knew he was this good. It's impossible unless you see him everyday. You see how hard he practices, and how professional he is, and how prepared he is and even his disposition. He just makes people better. So when you look at all that, and you get that package, and I don't know how long he's been here 18 years or whatever, however long he's been here, can you imagine having a guy that just comes in and makes everyone around him better for that long? I'm just hoping Kronwall and Rafalski keep improving cause one day when he leaves, there is going to be a huge hole."

No it's not the end of the world, but someone here posted a statistic that pretty much says that statistically he's still the best defenseman in the league. Or something to that effect.

Vancouver paper warns cabbies about arrival of Patrick Kane

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all since VAN is losing right now. -

Hahahahahahahahaha... Oh God... What a ******, Patrick Kane. -
They should do a poll of simply hockey teams.
-
Anybody else hear this?? Something like that would've been reported for sure by Ansar Khan and George Malik.
-
Wha..? You thought that was easy? Do you not remember all the close games?
-
She did WHAT last night??? How is she able to run?

Maybe Helm, despite his size, will develop into the best pound for pound guy who can fight. His hands are rather average on a team like the Red Wings anyways. Yeah it's a longshot dream but that would solve so many problems.
-
I think we the fans have the same expectations as the players do of themselves much of the time. For example, we expect Zetterberg to be a lot better than he has this whole year (and last year, imo) because he expects that from himself.

It's strange to hear fans of opposing teams say things like "These calls are just karma coming back to the Wings for all the beneficial calls they've gotten in the past 17 years!"
-
Is there a for sale sign at all?
-
Yeah she was pretty. I think my favorite will always be Torrie.
-
I think this year's draft or next year's draft is supposed to be deep with defensemen. I'd like for the Wings to trade for a lottery pick.

Guess that's one difference between him and Stevie.
