Bertuzzi and Kronwall are both at 8 goals. If they were to both reach 10 then the Wings would have 10 players with 10 goals or more on the season. Throughout the post lockout era the Wings had a high 13 in 06-07. They still have a chance to get a lot more. Rafalski and Hudler should have more goals than they do. Maybe Helm and another grinder can catch a little fire too.

I don't think I have ever seen a goal like Bertuzzi's. It was like nobody knew he had it except for him and Filppula.

They might get first dibs on Eaves or Miller or one of the other free agents the Wings will have.

When it comes to the level of professional sports, a world of extremes, there is really no such things as "enough motivation". You always have room for more.

I have a feeling that there are A LOT of candidates with similar experience who are willing to prove themselves. If you're a coach, why wouldn't you want to be a part of the Red Wings coaching staff? And the same goes for other successful franchises in the NHL. That in addition to the fact that he's been here as long as he has makes me think that he's really not the problem. Kenny has to think that he's doing a good job.

Well, true, but in that same breath, the bottom six doesn't have to pace themselves in order to play 20+ minutes every game.

The whole dmen rotation is out of whack. For the most part, it seems like Kronwall has taken Stuart's place next to Lidstrom and Kronwall simply hasn't adjusted very well, which makes sense since he has to play on the right side and he's a guy that needs the puck to be effective next to a hall of famer who SHOULD have the puck. You could say that maybe they should play Ericsson or Salei (the only players left who are supposed to be the more stay at home dmen on the team) in Stuart's spot but I'm guessing that Babs really likes the Big E-Rafi pairing, which kind of ties his hands big time.

Of course he's going to say all those things. Shanahan is scary.

Things that I noticed from what Ken said: -Lidstrom's aging very well. His points last year were more due to the fact of him having to concentrate even harder on defense. -Bryan Trottier played for too long. -Salei has been "terrifically solid" -Injuries today and injuries from years past. Bla bla bla. -Tatar excited about the WC in Slovakia this year but Daniels thinks that since Tatar has gotten a taste of the NHL that he'd probably rather be with the Red Wings if they are in the playoffs for the month of May. (I kind of disagree, but ah well). -He feels that the league should scrap the all star game and also teases the listeners as he states that Ken Holland has some really good ideas about the whole all-star schtick but doesn't divulge. -He believes the Red Wings are entitled to time off during the All-Star game. I'm not quite sure I understand his reasons but it seems to me that he's saying the Wings have to spend significantly more time on the road than the other teams in the league because you have NBC and Versus that constantly want them out West on Monday or a Tuesday along with time on the weekends when the league can really sell the game. -He then made a comment along the lines the Wings don't really have home ice advantage in the playoffs because of how much time they spend on the road throughout the season? Not quite sure I fully understand so maybe someone else can interpret that one. Yeah I didn't quite get that. Don't really know what's going on there.
