It's like they don't even care, which isn't true but that's how it looks in the eyes of fans. It's really an aura of overconfidence in their abilities to save themselves at the last second.

Pretty much what I was getting at. Is all the emotion and fire gone because they've already won? Or rather is it all gone to an extent that they can't play better and work harder than the other team?

A lot of fans on here are mad at Hossa because he didn't produce points for whatever reason when the Wings really needed it. He got Lidstrom type money, he worked hard, but he didn't get the right results. To some fans that's all that matters. But you can also attribute some of Hossa's lack of production to Datsyuk. We're seeing it again this year. He's awesome on the defensive end but when he's in charge on the offensive end he looks for the fancy play instead of the effective play.

How so?

Confidence. He plays nearly two more minutes of TOI this year in comparison to last year. He's been a fixture on the Canucks top six. Also, other than the Sedins, nobody else averaged more TOI on the power play.

Forget about it and move on. Pretty good advice.

Pav and Z should absolutely start next season on the same line; at least 15-20 games or until they go cold. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Hudler-Filppula-Franzen Cleary-Abdelkader-Eaves Ritola-Helm-Miller Draper-Maltby But bearing in mind Babs' strange stubborn obsession with keeping the Euro Twins apart I would hope to see something like this: Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Franzen Cleary-Zetterberg-Filppula Hudler-Helm-Eaves Ritola-Abdelkader-Miller Draper-Maltby -The Datsyuk-Franzen pairing is a proven regular season hit. -The Zetterberg-Filppula pairing is good as we all know -Hudler worked well with Helm in the past; not so much with Z or Pav -Ritola and Abdelkader are like best friends off the ice and it shows on the ice. These guys loved playing together and setting each other up for points in GR.
