Hell yes. Very few people on here thought Williams would be better than Sammy.

Well, to play devil's advocate, he did have pretty bad +/- when out there. It's not all his fault but he did play a part. Offensively for example he does have a bad tendency to be a little bit of a puck hog.

At this point I would rather have Rafalski play the whole 2 minute power play than have Williams out there. Yeah he'll get tired out. But honestly, doesn't that seem like such a good option right now? Seriously. He's good at all those things and NONE of them are related to being a good professional hockey player. None.

Are you kidding? I would've made a big deal about it even if they did win. What the hell is he even doing out there? Have they learned nothing about his past playoff performances? In fact, where is ShanahanMan? He's the biggest Williams hater on this board.

Well this I have an answer for that I actually buy. It's a matter of minute distribution. Only Lidstrom, Kronwall and sometimes Zetterberg play in all situations this year. Stuart doesn't play on the PP because they need his minutes to be on the PK; just like Rafalski doesn't play on the PK because they need him on the PP. It's why Eaves can't play the PP point either. It's supposed to be Williams' job but he sucks at doing good things with the puck even when he has time with it.

Well maybe this game was more of a rope a dope kind of game. Detroit takes Phoenix's best punch, realizes that "Hey, this isn't that bad" then finally start to play like they know how.

He's always been a ******, apparently. They might have taken the videos down by now but I remember a lot of vids on YT up by former junior players who just hated him because he was such a cocky bastard. Yeah they were probably jealous of his talent. At the same time that kind of jealousy doesn't just come out of nowhere. The way a person carries themselves has to be a part of it. -
