I'm still not sure what Ritola's upside is. He seems like a Filppula at the wing position. I see him as a 3rd/2nd line tweener who plays with Zetterberg so that someone can set up Z for shots.

His last one was absurd. For his playoff roster he took out Miller, the guy who has really solidified the PK.

Well I think it's that he gets paid a rate towards a salary of 850k only for games he played as a Red Wing. As a Griffin or anything else he gets MUCH less. Unless they're going to drive a really hard bargain I want the Wings to keep Helm, Eaves and Miller. Draper, Cleary and Maltby can't be cornerstones of the PK anymore.

He is still the best defenseman on the team.

I still think that Lidstrom will be the highest paid defenseman no matter what.

I don't mean to take Bert's play for granted or anything like that. I just think that we've all come to expect Zetterberg to be the best player on his line (if he's not with Datsyuk). He should be and I'm sure he knows it.

I'll be honest now. I feel like after watching it again that it shouldn't have counted. At the same time, I don't feel too bad because of the crappy calls the Wings have gotten this year. There was Dallas and then Colorado I mean what the hell was that one about?
