Seems like one Chicago fan took it seriously.
-
Pretty much. Although he probably played those games on the fourth line or something like that. I was really excited for him after last year. He'll produce some points but not to an amount in which I'll wish the Wings still had him.
-
Isn't that pretty much the same thing?

Hahahahahahahaha.

He's always been a ******. When he's at his best he's an annoying agitator who scores timely goals.

Lidstrom ANGRYYYY. Naw but that is a pretty ugly face there.

Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Franzen Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Ritola Cleary-Filppula-Miller Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves Draper Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Filppula-Franzen Cleary-Helm-Eaves Miller-Abdelkader-Ritola Draper Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Ericsson-Lilja Kindl I believe Helm, Eaves, Miller, Abdelkader and Ritola are restricted free agents. They shouldn't be too hard to sign. I think it's likely that Holmstrom takes a slight pay cut with a salary of 1.7-2. I also think it's likely that Lilja takes a slight pay cut to be at .9-1m. Some people on other forums think he'll command 2-2.5 mil but I don't see that happening since his numbers on the offensive end aren't much. It's likely that Bertuzzi will score more points than last year. I'm not sure if he has played well enough to seriously consider offers from other teams. He'll evaluate every situation and he might go somewhere else but if they want him back and if he wants to stay then I can see him signing for a contract that isn't significantly different from this year's. I know we'd all like an upgrade at that position but I suppose overall that he's been good for his role. I know we all like the think that Lidstrom will take a huge pay cut but I still see him as the highest paid defenseman on the team for around 6-6.3 mil. It's definitely possible to have the aforementioned roster. It's not all that ideal but it's still a good team that can compete.

No I don't care about that. I just wanted to see if you were drunk. After a night out with your buddies logging on to LGW drunk is actually kind of fun, haha.

Someone, I think it was Winging It in Motown blog, said it looked like those two were singing Swedish opera in that picture. I thought that a pretty funny idea but I don't know anything about Swedish opera to photoshop anything.

??? Too much Akkurat?

With the way the year has gone all I've wanted is for the Wings to make the playoffs and then a rather earlier exit so that the team can get a lot of rest. I thought to myself, "If this is how it's going to be after playing so deep into the post-season the past few years then I really think they should rest up for the future." But I'm starting to think that maybe they got a shot at another deep run and it won't be so bad for next year. The injuries were bad but also the Olympics really jam packed the schedule and set them up for some losses. They won't have to worry about scheduling problems next year.

Helm and Eaves by far lead the forwards in SH TOI. They are first in the rotation. Then Miller and Maltby/Filppula Then Helm and Eaves again. Then Zetterberg and Cleary/Filppula The 2nd string had Maltby during Fil's injury and now Fil is in for Maltby's injury. Although ever since Babs put Fil on the second line I think he's been using Z-Fil as the second string sometimes.

CHI and SJ still have better numbers I think. At the same time, the Red Wings PK wasn't what it is today until Helm, Eaves and Miller took over. When was that exactly? 20 games in? 2nd - Franzen-Filppula-Samuelsson 3rd - Drake-Draper-Cleary 4th - Hudler-Helm-Maltby/McCarty

I wonder what he's like as a negotiator. Stevie thinks I should take X amount of dollars? Oh, well, I feel like I can get more but since Stevie said so then ok.

What if we had internet forums back during Nick's beginning years as a defenseman? That'd be interesting to see. "Nick is soft as a marshmallow. He doesn't make any kind of physical impact whatsoever. We should ship his ass out!"
-
Hey that's Nick in the background!!! Right? Haha.

Hah! Oh dudes and their testosterone levels.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not. Hell does anyone know when you're being serious? Like it or not you've built a reputation on here and you have to live with it. If you're really that passionate about discussion then you would simply hit the reset button, drop the shtick and get a new user name.

Happy Birthday Beast! Yeah he's the "defensive coach" but what does that really mean? I only know for sure that he runs drills. Does he decide which pairs go out at certain times? Is he supposed to design the defensive schemes? Cause I thought Babs did all that stuff anyways.

You make it sound like Myers is a lock.
-
Which is scary because the Wings haven't even won anything yet.

It's like a side effect of winning isn't it? It happened on LGW after the cup win in '08, Pens fans are Pens fans and now that WAS has the best player in the league (voted by peers), they're starting to show it too. Winning: Side effects include fair-weather ****** bag fans who think their team is the greatest thing ever and simply cannot participate in a rational debate.

Why do you say that? For anyone's curiosity: Red Wings Nominations and the eventual winner Yzerman (1984) - Tom Barasso Fedorov (1991) - Ed Belfour Lidstrom (1992) - Pavel Bure Zetterberg (2003) - Barret Jackman
