See I think the word issue has a really serious tone to it. Do they have to fix some things here and there? Of course. It's part of the season. You're not always going to like who you work with. Is it something that can set off a bomb in the working environment? No. I remember in 08-09 they explicitly talked about how they struggled with the same 'trust' obstacles to the team and they did last year as well. For example, the forwards would over-backcheck and overcompensate on defense and that made them play worse. Obviously, that's just one little part of the whole trust struggle but I'm sure you get the idea. Now, if those rumors about the Flyers Carter-Hartnell incident were true then THAT would be an issue.

It depends on whom you talk to about him. Those who like to watch GR for mostly the guys with grit will tell you that they're not impressed with him. They'll say his skating isn't good and that he's pretty weak physically. They'll talk about how his effort and work ethic is inconsistent. Lastly, they'll label him as a career AHLer. Those who like to watch with pure excitement for only the prospects and not so much GR will tell you that his skill level is better than Valtteri's. They will say his skating is average but point out that he plays in all situations and currently scores at similar pace to former Griffin Ville Leino's 08-09 season.

Very true. The Wings first and foremost aim to balance wins with an awareness to pace themselves for the playoffs. As part of the process, the disappointing lulls in which the way they lose (or win) as if they do not put forth much effort always causes concern among fans and even moreso for the whole organization. Now admittedly, they had some games like that during our favorite standard of judgment, 07-08, but at that time those lack of efforts seemingly appeared to occur less often than in comparison to this season and the two years before that.

What about 08-09?

I don't particularly care for McCrimmon or hope he stays or anything like but the thing is I'm not really sure anymore about who to blame. Babcock recently said how much of the time their offense is what sets up their defense, specifically speaking turnovers in the neutral zone and blue line that cause them to be disorganized when trying to set themselves up defensively. It makes sense when you watch them out there. Therefore, it might just be that Babs and MacLean, guys who have worked together for a long time, are the ones designing and running the schemes while McCrimmon is just trying to do whatever's left.

I thought more along the lines of "Who you think you f**king with mane?! I Tony Montana--I mean, Al Montoya! You f**k with me, you f**king with the best!"
