Oh yeah, I forgot that the US is in the tournament too. With the way that the luck has been this year, Kronwall will probably go for an open ice hit on Datsyuk for a big collision that injures them both. Lidstrom, Holmstrom, Zetterberg and Franzen all skate to their aid and then trip over each other; tearing up each of their knees. Meanwhile in the USA versus Finland match up, Filppula will probably take a shot that hits Rafalski right in the jaw and then bounce back directly into Fil's previously injured wrist. And just so the luck remains thorough, Sergei Kolosov will probably go for a big hit and then end up limping off the ice like Chris Pronger did when he tried to hit Stevie. Oh, and Team Canada will tune out Babcock for his inability to make wise decisions.

I don't know if Drake would agree with this.
-
I feel like it's safe to say that for all players a gold medal is more important.
-
Hurry up and do a "real good" job for Team Canada so that you can focus on the Red Wings.

I'm so sorry Jimmy...

He believes in "Who's earned the right?" to a fault sometimes. He thinks, "Well, Bert's had experience in the shootout before, so he's earned the right to be in the lineup" even though he's bad at it. It doesn't ever seem to cross his mind that Franzen has a shot that according to his teammates is among top 2 on the team. Quite the thick head he has. And if you have size, Babs immediately likes you. I swear it's as if the Ericsson-Stuart pairing is his favorite and that he thinks he's coaching golf instead of hockey based on how often he puts that pairing out there. Lots and lots of dumb minuses. So ******* dumb. And as far as critcism for Datsyuk and Zetterberg goes, we used to be able to count on them to come through in the clutch. This year I don't know what's going on with them. Perhaps that criticism that they are past their prime has a lot more truth to it than we want to acknowledge.

No. Not yet. But they're awfully close.
-
Babcock likes to be Babcock. He's still one of the best coaches in the league but sometimes he just looks like an ignorant jackass.
-
Datsyuk - Naw. He's their best at nearly 50% for his career. Williams - Decent choice at 41% for his career. Bertuzzi - :flamingmad:
-
The star players simply aren't playing well enough. You have a 4 on 3 power play and barely get any real scoring chances. Ridiculous. The Euro Twins, man... Whatever happened to them?
-
Babcock is a dumbass. Yeah, put out Todd Bertuzzi when you have Franzen and his sweet shot healthy.
-
How can you implement the spirit of the "shutout" forum effect when the goalie has already allowed a goal?
-
Same old reason. Money. Money. Money.
-
Ahh you beat me to it.
-
He's know for being a strong defensive player and he has to be a part of a team with major issues in their defense. I'd probably have gray hair too.
-
You mean like that 3 man cross check on Cleary?
-
That might be part of the problem though. The coaches are trying to mold him into a shut down defenseman when he's really an offensive defenseman.
-
Tie. The. Game. Now.
-
No way. He moves well for a big defenseman. For a forward he's too slow.
-
Way to waste a power play.
-
Ugh... WHY CAN'T THEY EVER WIN A FACEOFF?!?!?!!? BAAHHH!!!!!
-
Yeah he f***ed up but why is that pairing still together? After all the s***ty games and minuses, how could the coaching staff look at that pair and think, "Yeah it's still good."?
-
His name is Dan O'Halloran. Do what you will with that information.
-
What the hell is wrong with Babcock? How does he still have a hard on for that Ericsson-Stuart pairing? "Well they're two big bodies." Yeah, well, when have we ever seen those two work together where they didn't look like deer in the headlights.
