Too many of them look so nonchalant but of course Datsyuk scores around the 30 second mark.
-
That and it's best to concentrate on things that you can directly control yourself.
-
LeftWinger or perhaps LeftWinger's irrational friend.
-
I don't know how popular he is in Finland though. No way he's as popular in Finland as Lidstrom/Zetterberg for Sweden. Who is the most popular Finnish player to the country of Finland? Is it Salami? One of the Jokinens perhaps?
-
He's said over and over again that it's not an issue. Guess his mind isn't as good as tricking his body as it once was.
-
Anyway to determine how many votes came from IP addresses from Finland?
-
I didn't know about his wrist. Or did you mean his elbow? Or maybe he had both?
-
Before the season is over one defenseman will be gone if Lilja is okay enough to play at the NHL level. If he can make it through that #6 spot is all his.
-
Is it that unfathomable for a team to take on Williams and Lebda's contracts combined? With those guys you can at least make a decent selling attempt. Williams does have some skill and Lebda has speed and playoff experience.
-
Was watching some of Lidstrom's goals as early as NHL.com can go. Man... Lidstrom's shot seemed to have a lot more power to it.
-
No Jason Williams?
-
I'd think hard about maybe sacrificing Lebda for Leino, but that also depends on how Lilja does.
-
Does Big E play on the PK if Lilja can play again at the NHL level? Some might think that it might be too much for Lils. I think that it's a very big part of his game and what he relishes doing as a hockey player. Eventually he'll work his way into that 4man dmen rotation. That is, if he's fully recovered.
-
It's Bart Lebda that's the funniest.

Damn. I've been searching for the past couple of minutes of a video clip of Fisch cross checking Tommy Westlund in the teeth during Game 4 of the 02 finals. I was going to post it as a reply to you. I know it's up on YT though, just no luck right now.

More like once everyone is back and up to speed chemistry wise they'll no longer have any excuses.
-
Someone should complain that they took too long to clear the hats off the ice.

I think Ryno is done mostly because he wasn't that good anyways. Axelsson though is back to his near point per game rate he had last year. They can't give up on him just yet. He might mature well enough. And Samuelsson had a step back this year, but I still think they should keep an eye on him just in case.
-
No Ryno or Axelsson? How about Samuelsson? Hehe.
-
Why do you think that? I just want to know your reasoning behind it.
-
Alternates I'm guessing will be Forsberg is he really plays, Zetterberg, Alfredsson, maybe Henrik Sedin. Oh and just for fun, Lilja,
-
Hehe... Sure. It's fun to backpedal.
-
What if they had it like 2 on 2 like NHL Open Ice or NBA JAM (as a more common example)?

So your big thing is that athletes are overpaid? Welcome to human nature. Your criteria for what a player deserves is simply your observation of him playing games along with stats you can look up online. The management obviously has a more extensive criteria. When you hear Teemu Selanne rave that "He's (Filppula) anybody's dream player because he's so easy -- he does exactly what you ask him to do. Everybody needs that kind of player," it's obvious that none of us don't ever see how hard he works every day or the fact that Filppula's done nearly everything coaches and management have asked him to do and fulfilled if not exceeded their expectations of him, which is why they like him so much. If they think he deserves that salary, then they're most likely more right than you'll ever be. But for some reason you don't want to let go of the small possibility that they're wrong, why is that?
