It only says that the Wings won't call anyone up at least through the weekend. The Griffins play Fri, Sat and Sun. I still think Ritola might get a chance for a call up. At this point, they could really use a player like him.

I don't mean to be a buzzkill or anything like that but I really wonder about excitement and the way it compares to prospects from a few years ago. For example, I've been told by some that when Filppula was at a ppg in the AHL and Hudler was really racking up the points that fans here were really, really excited. I just wonder how the excitement for guys like Mursak and Tatar compares to how excited people were for Fil and Huds.

I don't know if it's trolling per se. Lots of members here have their own schtick with their own special schtank. There's that one dude that hates Holmstrom; that one Gary Bettman-like clown; and then Drake I think is the stats guy, the SPSS guy, except he's useful.

I replied to your post in the GD but I'll do it here too. I just don't see any significant difference in the way Axelsson has looked tonight in comparison to any of the games this year. He has a few moments of great intensity but for most part he tries to play a patient game. I just think that if his intense moments lead to points then people say he had an awesome game but at the same time forget that for the rest of the game he played in a way that many like to interpret as "floating."

Anyone want to bring up a old bashing Hudler thread? I know he was much younger than Leino but this is still his first full season in the NHL.
