Cleary likely won't secure a spot. Canada just has too many players. Filppula imo isn't a maybe. He's at least a 4th line center. Some of the Wings prospects might play as well. Sergei Kolosov and Tomas Tatar are up for consideration.

He's a good player. Team Canada only has so many forward spots though. Nash-Crosby-Iginla Heatley-Getzlaf-Carter Smyth-Toews/Staal-St. Louis Morrow-Richards-Doan Staal could be the third line center. I personally prefer Toews though. EDIT: I considered Stevie's statements last year about having a team that can protect a lead as well as build it.

I'm not even sure if Kovalev wants to play.

Chicago is a much bigger market. As soon as the playoffs get going I'm sure Bettman would love for them to have a cup. I'll be sure to see if they get suspicious man advantages or generally speaking "incompetent referees" for their games.

He'll then say that two of the wins required overtime and that even though they lost one game by 3 and another by 5 that those two OT games are proof enough that they didn't get handled easily.
