That'd be interesting. He could be a Lilja type.

It's official. http://www.mlive.com/griffins/index.ssf/20...dl_who_cou.html "I'm actually shocked, you know? Yesterday we lost and I didn't play my best game," Kindl said. "I didn't expect it at all. I don't know what to say." Kindl, the Red Wings' first-round pick in the 2005 NHL draft, was recalled because defenseman Brian Rafalski left Red Wings practice after skating for only 10 minutes because his sore back stiffened up. If Rafalski can't play Thursday night against Edmonton at Joe Louis Arena, Kindl will make his NHL debut. Kindl leads the Griffins with 11 assists, to go with one goal and a minus-2 rating in 19 games. He has experience playing with the Red Wings in preseason games, and he also served as a "Black Ace" during the past two postseasons. While Kindl would have preferred a better game to serve as his springboard to Detroit, he's eager to hit the ice. "I was plus-2 before the game and now I'm minus-2," Kindl said. "And it's going to be even harder up there. I'm definitely going to have to really focus, play simple and wait for an opportunity. "I don't know what to say other than I'm really excited."

You know what his official weight is? Some sites haven't updated his weight in years and some have and I'm not sure which ones are the most current.

How did they lose so bad? Kindl a -4?

At first I was like Then I was like He looks so old in the first pic and then so young in the second. Strange.
-
I was kind of hoping that he'd be more like Pahlsson in terms of physical play. But it's good the Wings are sky high on him.
-
Well, it took some time for the Wings to adjust to guys being out. Oftentimes it takes time for guys to get back in the swing of things.

Haha, Burke calls up Ballard to be the franchise player of the leafs.
-
It's kind of manly, no?

Definitely a good win tonight. They needed it with CBJ winning as well. Hopefully CAL can hold on.

Willy is lazy and he sucks!

Alex Trebek: Yeah, I see it. Go back to your podium. [ Reynolds goes back to his podium ] It's not funny. What's going on? Okay, let's just move on to Final Jeopardy. And the category is.. you know what? I tell you what, just write a number. Any number, any number and you win. [ music starts ] We'll accept any number, any number at all.. a one, or a two, or a three, or how about a four? It's that simple, I know you can do this. [ music ends ] Let's start with French Stewart, who's grinning like an idiot. You look pretty sure of yourself. Think you've got the right answer? French Stewart: Yes, I'm pretty sure of it, Alex. Alex Trebek: Well, all you had to do was write down a number. And you wrote.. [ shows Stewart's screen ] ..Threeve. A combination of three and five. [ Stewart nods ] Simply stunning. And you wagered.. [ shows his wager ] ..Texas with a dollar sign in front of it. I'm speechless. French Stewart: No, I did not get the answer from anyone else, it all came from Mr. Stewart's noggin.. [ points at his head ] ..up here. Alex Trebek: That's beautiful. Mr. Reynolds.. Burt Reynolds: Yeah, don't bother, I didn't write anything. Alex Trebek: Good work, all right. Finally, Mr. Connery.. the category was Numbers, and you wrote.. [ shows his screen ] ..a letter V. Well, I tell you what, my friend - V is a Roman numeral, so despite your best efforts, you answered correctly. Let's see what you wagered.. [ wager is revealed to use the V as part of a K in "Suck it Trebek" ] "Suck it Trebek". [ Connery laughs wildly ] That's all the time we have. Good night, my.. [ Reynolds places over-sized hat on Trebek's head ] Would you get that off of me? [ pulls it off his own head ] [ fade out ]

Haha, no it wasn't about being a wings fan. Someone made a comment about a member who may have some paranoia of an anti-Russian public. Then you pointed to Datsyuk's Mom as the culprit, which is kind of like playing a "Your Mom" joke. After you found out she's dead you then played a "Your Dad," in which Pav's father is also dead. I know you were joking. It was just like one of those moments on TV that are comically full of fail which might be the defining trait of "Your Mom" jokes. "Your Mom." "Dude, she's dead." Some people would stop right there with a "Oh..." but then you followed it with, "Oh yeah? You're Dad." "...Also dead." Of course then the audience proceeds to judge this dude as a ****** bag.

...Died a few years ago of a heart attack while sitting behind the wheel in a parking lot. His Mom died from cancer. Yeah, you're... You're real hardcore.

She passed away. Nice going.

He insulted the fan base?

I thought this was another thread about his willingness to finish his career in the KHL. I had a nightmarish daydream the other day that he decided to join the KHL after fulfilling his current contract.

How is this team going to look going into the playoffs, healthy?

Whatever they'll be I'm sure Babs will have something up his sleeve. Did anyone predict the Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary line for the playoffs? Not many iirc. -

EDIT: First, the Wings have to clinch a playoff spot. But if everybody is healthy then this is what I would hope for. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Cleary-Filppula-Franzen/Leino/Williams Draper-Helm-Eaves Bertuzzi-Abdelkader-Maltby/Miller/May or Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Cleary-Zetterberg-Leino/Williams Helm-Filppula-Eaves Bertuzzi-Draper-Abdelkader/Maltby/Miller/May *The reason why Bert is on the 4th line is because with everybody healthy I just don't see him in the top-six and I really like how the third line has had three good skaters who have had an unquestionable (as in, more than a year) commitment to defense. *Leino and Williams are on reserve for any unfortunate injuries to players within the top six while Abdelkader, Maltby, Miller and May are on reserve for injuries within the bottom six. --Although, if Lilja is back in time then May and or Abdelkader might go to GR or Miller to waivers or whatever until the playoffs when the salary cap isn't restrictive. As far as the back end goes, pretty much the usual: Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Ericsson-Lilja Lebda Meech -
Did you really just refer to yourself in the third person?

Is Fraser is thinking that the Tatar-Emmerton-Mursak line is a little too undersized? But you say they went back to it? That's good. EDIT: Also, what is going on with Dick Axelsson? Should I just give up all hope on him or slap a label on him that says 3rd liner?

Tatar-Nyquist-Mursak FTW!!!! (in the future)

http://www.uscho.com/recaps/20092010/m/11/27/uw-msu.php Smith’s two first period goals set the tempo for No.15 Wisconsin in the opening game of the College Hockey Showcase and his beauty of a third period assist finished off eighth ranked Michigan State, as the Spartans had no answer in a 7-3 drubbing in front of 5,199 fans Friday. “If we had to choose another captain, I’d choose (Smith),†said senior Michael Davies, who had two goals and an assist. “He leads by example out there on the ice.†Smith, the 27th overall pick in the 2007 NHL entry draft by the Detroit Red Wings, had been one of the many high-powered Wisconsin weapons that have been scratching their heads, wondering when the chances would start converting into tallies. His answer started at nine minutes, 23 seconds of the first, taking a feed from sophomore Derek Stepan (one goal, four assists) and chipping the puck past MSU goalie Drew Palmisano (21 saves). If the first Smith goal didn’t put the Spartans back on their heels, UW’s first of three power play goals on the night did the trick, as Smith chipped in the puck in front of the MSU net to double the lead and put UW (8-4-1) in firm control for the remainder of the game. “That just deflated the whole crowd and helped us in the first period, because we didn’t give our best effort,†Smith said. That wasn’t to say the Spartans (9-4-2) didn’t make things interesting on the Badgers. After junior Corey Tropp scored his team-leading 10th goal in the first 15 seconds of the third period, trimming the lead to two and awakening the dormant crowd, Smith, covered by two Michigan State defenders, slid a cross-ice pass to senior tri-captain Blake Geoffrion, who faked low and shot high over senior goalie Bobby Jarosz at 11:42. It extended the three goal lead, it sent Spartans fans for the exits and it extended UW’s unbeaten streak over Michigan State to five. “Not many players can make that pass,†said Stepan. “He’s got that special ability to make that crisp pass.â€
