The puck really does seem to follow Leino around doesn't it? Being a Red Wings he's probably going to learn Datsyuk's stick checking tricks and whatnot. Then what? He'll be the only one playing with the puck when he's on the ice? I can't really look at the Franzen injury as a blessing. More like a silver lining. Franzen gone for four months is a pretty big and gray cloud.

Yeah. Some criticize Ovie's shot % but I couldn't care less. When it comes to SOG, quantity is a very good thing. Especially if you have a shot like Ovie's.

As far as the Bert-Z-Cleary line goes, Babs is probably trying to put out an improvement of the Mule-Z-Cleary line. He always has to remind Franzen to be physical and finish checks. He probably thinks that if Franzen did more of those things then that line would be amongst the best in the NHL. Babs was probably hoping that Bert would provide the things that Franzen did and then some. Although he's a better passer and isn't as shy at dishing out the physicality, Bert doesn't have as much of an aptitude for defense and doesn't skate as well as Franzen. It's a very reasonable line - I just think its upside isn't all that high. Yet we haven't really seen that line at its best considering that Zetterberg is at 70%.

The Euro twins will be reunited for tonight's game! That alone has me bouncing off the walls. So Euro twins and Ovechkin (well, hopefully the subtle shutting down of Ovechkin by Lidstrom-Datsyuk-Zetterberg). I'm really excited!

Leino's skating has improved quite a bit but I'm not comfortable having him and Homer on the same line.
