At the moment I can't think of any other goals besides DMac's on Hextall along with maybe one or two others that were more impressive during the playoffs let alone finals. If you don't know that goal then are you really a Wings fan?

The Wings know that he's going to for the most part play a third line role. They just want him in an environment in which he'll play 20 minutes a night not for the sake of playing minutes but to also work on his weaknesses on offense (playmaking, scoring touch) so that when it comes time to play in the playoffs he won't hesitate to be aggressive if he has a scoring chance.

Hmm. I wonder what Micah's thoughts on this are. Sammy was also, by Babs' view, the biggest forward on the team. Or at least looked like it. In that sense I supposed it was easier to at least put up a front. Among the guys who are 5-11 or below JWilly doesn't really have anything substantial to make him stand out. Not the skill of Pav and Z nor the speed of Drapes, Helm, even Lebda. He shoots right handed. That counts. Not really.

Hopefully the addition of a full time Helm means that Babs is done playing Fil as the third line center. Anybody got Game 2 against Vancouver in 2002? Extract the part where fans got really pissed off and then make it into an alarm sound for Fil. EDIT: Actually, how does one say, "Shoot the puck!" in Finnish?

Seriously. You really think Stevie and Babs will want to put Crosby out there against Zetterberg/Datsyuk during the olympics? Hell no. They will send out Getzlaf. He is the only forward in which I have never seen Z without a doubt outplay on both ends.

So should we discount the articles that claimed Nick and Z are 1 and 2 for the Tre Kronor as well as the one that hailed Dangle Dangle as #2 for Mother Russia? After that Canadian list I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

Someone once told me that technically, Datsyuk and Malkin are Asian. They are from the Eastern side of the Ural Mountains after Russia ends and Asia begins. Or something like that.

Ok well not exactly a Kenny Wu type. Though it'd be funny to watch him duck through under people's legs. Hasn't that been a knock on the Wings? That they're just figure skaters with hockey sticks. When you watch Kronwall's feet move then you see where that comes from.

I think it'd be awesome for the Wings to have an Asian player. Like a Kenny Wu type who penetrates through defenses and then dishes it off to a shooter.
