When you get the chance, you definitely have to put up that 20 second too many men. How ridiculous.
-
Oh man... That pic is just... Wow... IMO, that's right up there with the fans laughing after Salami got rocked by Stuart in Game 7.
-
No big deal. Let him lash out. If it hurt when Hossa left for that one year deal then multiply that by his allegedly new 7 year deal and you got 7 times the amount of emotion.
-
Is he the ultra Pens-homer? Or is that Burnside?
-
Well that was rather cocky, but good too. I'm not sure if that guy will come back. I think he's gotten enough of a rise out of us for the day.
-
All that pretty much means more PPs in general. The amount probably won't be significantly different but I'm positive the Pens will get better timing with their power plays (right after a Detroit goal, etc.). But the Wings know this. And they'll be prepared for it.
-
They generally like to design shirts so that you can see the person's face but I imagine that one has to include a live shot of his breakaway speed goal with rocket trails or whatever.

Too sick to play in a game for the cup?

Video: Red Wings' Marian Hossa will use booing from Penguins fans
titanium2 replied to rtkoss's topic in General
He hangs out with Hudler a lot. Huds is a funny guy too though. -
To be honest, I don't think that kind of thing works in the home team's favor like it used to. Pronger loves being booed. Both AO and Sidney fed off the visiting crowd hate in the 2nd round. And Hossa already said that kind of thing gives him energy. Maybe the smart thing is to not boo him.
-
If they're going to call the penalties then it has to go both ways. I look forward to seeing Hal Gill in the box tonight.
-
This is the first time I've ever heard a report of the league being unhappy with the officiating. What about the Walker sucker punch? Or the disallowed Hossa goal?
-
He'll probably say that he never said there was anything wrong with that but only that he was needed more in Pittsburgh and so he took the easy way out. One thing you forgot was that he came to Detroit not only to win but to learn. From Lidstrom, Chelios, you name it. He wanted to learn a more veteran poise. You're not going to get that out of many teams in the NHL.
-
He looked at himself and thought, "I'm 30, I don't want to be around a bunch of young kids who are still trying to establish their team identity. I've already been through that. The Ottawa trade, Kovalchuk's ego. I want something different. Something better." I bet you I'm not far off. But apparently that wasn't the "manly" thing to do.
-
I've already said this but this new breed of Crosby-Pens fans are admirable in a way. They come on LGW, shoot off their opinion, more often than not get ripped apart and yet they keep coming back with more BS to play with. Yes the BS is embarrassing but I guess you have to commend them for their resiliency.
-
Someone probably mentioned this but the outshout argument isn't all that great. In both games during the 3rd period Detroit purposefully "sat back and trapped" according to Babs. You don't get that many shots on goal playing that way.
-
The Devils are probably the closest organization to the Nazis. They don't even allow kids in the locker room.
-
I guess it's kind of different. The era had already won 3 cups.
-
Real man takes the risks. Well then Hoss is a real man. He turned down how much money and security? I really don't see how Hossa would have enjoyed winning the cup more with Pittsburgh than Detroit when he already had friends on the Red Wings before he came here; even if he was part of a team that beat the Red Wings. What many don't understand is that they would have done the exact same thing if they were in his position. You can sit there and insult his manhood if you want. Meanwhile, he's had what he feels is the best year of his career. I'm positive that he doesn't care on whether or not some people think he's a real man because I bet he already feels like one.
-
Hope the Wings do this to the Pens tonight:
-
I think they're very aware of all that mess. Should be close.
-
Detroit will be better but so will Pittburgh. Should be tight but the Wings find this kind of stuff fun.
-
Pretty much what I said earlier. I wasn't trying to come off as whining. I just think that you can't emphasize Detroit's lucky breaks without acknowledging Pittsburgh's lucky breaks.
