It's this new generation of youth. As long as they show up for work, they're entitled to results. Other than that, you just have people or journalists out there who need jobs and so their job is to speculate and start gossip or whatever. It gives their life meaning. Oh, and it also attracts attention from people who don't watch hockey.

Not me. I'm going to act like a spoiled brat and there's nothing you can do to stop me! Yeah? Well that's what you get for not letting me have that cookie before dinner!!! (Oooh... I kind of euphemized there a little bit with that last sentence.)

There are many Pens fans like him. It's just that not all of them have the guts to go on another team's board and express their rational opinion while being aware of the highly likelihood they'll get bombarded with both the best of Wings fans and the worst of Wings fans; no matter what they say. And so the greater majority stay on their own turf while we're here left with the trolls that distort our perception of the minority of Pens fans who actually contribute to the discussion. It's just how it goes on all the boards.

Pens fans have every right to feel the way they did after Hossa left. If Hossa left DET in the same manner, which is very possible, then we would have felt the same way too, if not maybe even more upset. It's not good when you feel as if someone has led you on and then does otherwise with their actions. It's also understandable that this series match up has re-opened the wound. It sucks.
-
It's also tough because there might be some factor that we haven't seen that can come out of the woodwork. Who on here thought Cleary or Sammy would be so clutch? Who on here thought that Kunitz and Guerin would be so valuable? We're only basing our opinions on what we've seen so far but this DET v PIT match up will bring a whole new dynamic that will undoubtedly make us adjust our perceptions and opinions.

The Ducks still scare me. With them it was like the best at one identity versus the best at another identity? The nice guy versus the *******. Sometimes the nice guy wins and sometimes the ******* wins. But with teams like Chicago and San Jose (and yes, maybe Pittburgh) who are trying to have an identity similar to the Wings, it's like 1A versus 1B. Not as intimidating, but intimidating nonetheless.

Game 1: Lidstrom will play, Ericsson questionable

Actually, it's not Babs who decides, right? It's Kenny and Co. -
This deserves to be here.

Just like others have suggested before, they might be resting them because of the stupid ass back to back from Saturday to Sunday. -
Oh man... How have you not gotten flamed for this?
-
Anyone out there with a fair evaluation? I think we'll all be a little surprised on how much better their Dmen and forwards are in their own zone.
-
Damn you... What'd you get on it? Now I have to see if Papa John's or whoever is still open at 1:30AM.

It's more about perception of the individual. You look at their point totals and think that they're playing insane. "They'll go to the hall of fame with those numbers!" When, really, it's like Ovechkin and his attempted shot totals. You see 56 goals and think "Wow! Insane!" but then look and see that if someone registered 528 shots in a year then a part of you has to think that they better score that much. Even though they may not score as much as you'd think on the PP, every scoring chance you get brings you closer to a goal if you're a talent like Sid and Geno.

In terms of amount of hits, I have no idea, I just think he's an idiot and looks like a psycho. When you see him hit out there it's as if that's the only enjoyment he gets out of playing the game. If you go back to Game 6 of last year two of the Wings goals were directly, imo, a result of him choosing to play the body over the puck. Sammy puts the puck on net, it's loose, Orpik could clear it away if he were aware but decides instead to try and hit Filppula, who got his stick on the puck anyways and scored. And with that goal by Z, Orpik was right there and could've cleared it away but was more concerned about a potential scrum in front of the net.
-
Ok wait... So what's the schedule?
-
Khan said that "Brooks Orpik dishes out hits, (but) he is not as punishing as Kronwall and Brad Stuart." ...What? Is he kidding? Orpik is a psycho.

Yeah after I posted that I thought maybe I should check before I open my mouth or rather... hit the reply button. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...nt_be_easy.html Though usually he gives a pretty clear cut break down of everything and then finishes it with a hard cut prediction. I know he said Wings in 6 against the Hawks; Wings in 5 against the Jackets IIRC and I'm honestly not sure about the Ducks but me thinks it was Wings in 6.
-
Has anyone seen Ansar's prediction? I haven't yet. I have a feeling he'll go for Wings in 6/7.
-
Too easy. If he's right, then he'll have those 5 seconds of feeling right but if he's wrong then his hometown team will have another championship. As a Detroit writer I would think that the former is worth risking for over 5 seconds of appearing as a journalist who was right.
-
I would've uploaded it myself if I had it. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for that. Well... wait a minute, I guess you do. Anyways, thanks man.

He did a pretty good job on Z last year. That is, whenever they got that match up.

Is this how the good Karma threads usually go? "Compliments" that aren't really compliments? How is that supposed to help good karma?
