He's not just playing hard. He's creating chances. The puck just isn't going in the net. It'd be best for him if he didn't put any needless pressure on himself becauses that's when he'd really screw up.

Well, except when lemon head mcguire does it.

What would really be ironic is if Pens fans or maybe even Caps fans were to say that.

My... pllllrrrreacioussss....

Hey! Somebody put a 7 up there. They've won 7 games. Time to check that s*** off!
-
Hey. He's supposed to be the next Holmstrom.
-
Damn. You go girl.
-
And the neiderweiner goal too in game 3 right?
-
It's now 4-3 in the Lidstrom as captain era. Wasn't bad before.
-
I completely missed it. As unbiased as we can possibly be, was that goalie interference on the 3rd goal?
-
At least they have no reason to sit back. With only a one goal lead they should be motivated to keep their foot on the gas.
-
Sadly, I agree. Though, he may be one of the best Swedish power forwards in the game.

Moar Red Wings Goals Plz.

That was Game 4 right? The more I think about it, the more I understand Columbus' perspective on that too many men call. Yes, Modin shouldn't have been stupid enough to touch the puck. Yes, the call was textbook. But they decided to throw away the whistles for every other textbook call. How is a guy who's a few feet too early from the bench deserving of a call more so than Kronwall's hit from behind? It's understandable why they were so pissed off. IMO, the Wings got a break, but it wasn't nearly as bad as that waived off goal in Game 3 against ANA.

It's very hard for a casual fan to appreciate the game of Nick Lidstrom. As Babs and others have said, you have to watch him every day in order to really appreciate him. If I had to pick one trait of Nick to define him, it would be his hockey sense or incredible instincts or whatever you want to call it. They say he "makes the simple, safe play every time." It may sound easy, but with different opponents and different forechecking systems coming at you at great speed, it's hard to know what the simple safe play is every time. Nick will make a pass out of the zone that will make you think, "Wow, he made that passing lane look way wide open. I didn't even see that." According to Bowman, Nick has been the same way ever since he became a Red Wing. I was way too young during his early years. So for those that would know, has Nick really been the same player all this time, even in the years before his prime? I'm curious as to what if message boards existed during Nick's developmental stages? Would he get a "Nick is lazy and he sucks" or a "trade for a sack of Swedish meatballs" comment?

True. Oh man before I actually started posting here I remember thread after thread of people saying Babcock sucks. People say that now but I remember separate threads that discussed different facets of his sucking. Speaking of which, that sparks a question. I think I'll start a new thread with it.

This is genius. And maybe do it with someone who's not a scorer. Or maybe one those guys who's in between a 2nd/3rd liner like Filppula.

What about bashing Sammy and Lils?

Still not locked? I can't believe I posted that much. This thread should be thankful that school requires me to glue myself to a pc and avoid homework, haha.
-
Oh man... Now that you said it we have to do it.
-
How'd you find that out?
-
In b4 lock!!!

"Hey Sid, you're a great player and all. It's just that my penis is bigger than yours. Now hurry up and shake my hand so I can go get some of that cup!"

I forgot for a second that Scotty Bowman is a part of the Chicago organization now. Anybody think that'd be a big advantage for them in a DET-CHI series?
