Jesus... What the hell is Eaves on? Not sure what it may be but I think I'd like to try a dose or seven.

Niiiice...

The moron made fun of Jason Blake because he had cancer. If that's not a reason to hate a guy I don't know what is. I mean, really, how do you like a guy after something like that? The dude is lowwww.
-
Brad Watson??? Sigh...

Hopefully the Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi-Lidstrom-Stuart unit can shut down the Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry line.

Go Wings! My heart is hoping for the best while my head is saying they'll be lucky if they salvage one point out of this game.

He does sort of have that look about him sometimes that goes very well with someone saying, "I'm a f***in' all-star."
-
No Kronwall or Stuart? EDIT: I guess theirs wasn't as blatant as those.
-
Nothing. Just wondering why you went from Z to Abby.
-
The f***in' All-Star got an assist tonight against his former team.

What's up with the avatar?

Yeah I don't quite get the all-star jokes either. Does he talk about that a lot in real life or...?

They need to update this scouting report just a little bit. Just a little. http://forecaster.canada.com/faceoff/hockey/player.cgi?943 ASSETS: Big and mobile, he owns soft hands that do damage around the net. Can score goals and set up his linemates. When on his game, he can dominate down low. FLAWS: Injuries have become a major problem. Lacks discipline and takes a lot of bad penalties in the offensive zone. Is a lazy defensive winger. CAREER POTENTIAL: Aging, big scoring winger.

Cleary seems the mostly likely right now. Z isn't far behind though.

Nice slip.

I thought it was Bart Lebda.

I like curly fries more. The roast beef is probably a better deal though.

Well, we all have our crazy superstitions. Back when I was a huge NHL 95 or whatever year video game player and wanted to play a full regular season I would choose the team I hated the most and win with them. For the year '97 it finally "worked". I went 82-0 with Colorado. I just didn't feel any good juju if I'm playing the game and the team I love wins all the time. Tricks? What tricks? I haven't the slightest idea what you're referring to. This medication may cause some side effects, such as dizziness, insomnia, nausea and anxiety. It can also increase blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature. It should not be taken by anyone with kidney conditions, heart problems, diabetes or stomach ulcers, or in conjunction with antidepressant medications.

Why... What are you talking about? I was wondering if anyone would ever figure that out. I couldn't just come right out and say it.

I do hate Sean Avery. Not as much as Cooke but Avery is a pretty big scumbag as well. The whole Jason Blake thing was just low. I do hate Pronger... At the same time, I wonder how much I really hate a player when I'd love to have them on my own team. Avery and Cooke are guys I don't ever want on my team. I can't say that about Pronger. In my eyes he and Nick on the same pair would be the ultimate dman combo in today's game.

Osgood will start on Saturday... JMac sent down to GR

We're not doomed. I just don't think we should expect too much out of the Wings for this weekend. -

I don't feel too good about this coming weekend for the Wings. Like I said in the SJ GDT, the Wings have not won their first game in Anaheim for a while now. The Ducks have lost twice in a row to the Wings, with the latter starting all kinds drama that today probably provides the Ducks with more emotional salience and motivation to win. When you combine the fact that the Wings usually start games fairly slow with the other factor that the Ducks are in their own building and will probably charge right out of the gate with lots of energy and physical play, well, personally I'd be ecstatic if the Wings can even squeeze out one point out of that game. If the Wings don't have a good start then they'll probably have to play from behind for the whole game. They'll probably get better as the game goes on but I'm thinking it won't be enough to get two points. Then you got LA, who have lost four in a row but they are 8-2-0 at home. They're too good of a team to let this losing streak go on. You got Ozzie coming back from an injury and he is nowhere near game shape. He needs to start slow in order to build his confidence back, which is something that the Wings probably shouldn't mess with against a team like LA. I feel the same way as many other in this thread. For Osgood, it's not a setup for success. It seems likely that we'll see some goals against Ozzie that he probably would've stopped if he was in a better rhythm; goals in the first period that will make the Wings play another game from behind. The Wings got their work cut out for them this weekend for sure. They'll definitely need some luck too. -
They definitely had a pretty game against a depleted back end for SJ. For the most part they did what they had to do. They probably couldn't get away with some of that stuff against guys like Pronger, Chara, Keith or Doughty but it's always fun to watch.
