Campbell calls (likely Savard) "Fake Artist" in email
titanium2 replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I'd like to see an thoroughly researched article about the perception of the NHL by both hockey fans, non hockey fans and non sports fans. When an article (not sure which one it was) says stuff like virtually everybody outside of the NHL's executive office thinks they're incompetent you just gotta wonder. But in the end, I guess if the league is making money their employees can be as corrupt as they want. -
You know that's a great question. I don't really know. Anyone? I mean, I know Rafalski is healthy now but I figured the lines are what they are because they're gradually integrating Rafi back into things.

I don't understand some of the cheers. How does Ericsson receive more noise than Rafalski?

Well, more like it's a superstar and we've made exceptions to superstars before. -
So far just like last year, Ericsson plays nearly 16 min a game. Salei and Rafalski are at almost 19. Stuart goes for 22 1/2. Kronwall goes for 23 1/2. And of course Lidstrom leads all of them with 24 min a game. Seems like that's a good distribution of TOI.

Hmm... Two games. Is that fair?

What's that? -
That stache doesn't look like a porn stache. It just looks like a stache. As in, it doesn't really stick out to me.

Seems like Hudler will always be one of the top candidates for hwipping (Cool Hwip) boy status.

Yes he does have a wicked shot but doesn't it for the most part hit the glass? It's hard but not all that accurate.

Nobody yet it seems. But Datsyuk wasn't particularly a high scorer for the most part before he came over to NA. So who knows?

The Wings record against Colorado the past few years isn't too great. They need to get back to winning against them. I'm sure they remember the last game that they gave away. Hope to see some dominating puck possession from them.

Why say something stupid like that? More assists and more goals please.

Someone, I think zetterbergfan, mentioned that he's really trying to be more of a playmaker and that he's always been more of a playmaker especially during his days in Sweden. It's just that we know him as more of a sniper since he's come to NA. I think there's been a lot more emphasis on this ever since the Wings acquired Hossa and he got used to it. Is Zetterberg the sniper no more for good or what?

Maybe depends on the rink size.

He very quietly leads the team in points. Good for him.

So, obviously the lines looked good against a young EDM team. Still have yet to see how much energy the lines can manifest when they face a team that doesn't give them as much time and space. Something I want to mention is Todd Bertuzzi's play. We all know Babs likes to have two guys play with the puck and another guy to do the dirty work. Obviously with the FFB line Bert was the guy who was supposed to do the dirty work and he did a good job. Now that he's with Mo and Bear, he's again one of the guys that gets to handle the puck. The first game went well, obviously, which isn't a surprise since lineup changes can do that. But I'm wondering if we're eventually going to see the Bert that made those ugly, frustrating turnovers at the blue line since he gets to have the puck a lot more. Or maybe that Bert no longer exists and makes smarter plays? Hope so.

More like thanks to Willa.
