It's really hard to get an idea of who the Wings would trade in any situation because of the whole loyalty factor. For example, at this point it seems as if they wouldn't ever trade Draper. Ever. And would anybody here be surprised if the Wings promised Salei they wouldn't trade him as he signed a one year deal? I guess my point is that the Wings seem to take a lot of time to make sure they want certain players before they sign them and try their best to give them the security of not having to worry about being traded. So unless you're a case like Ville Leino where other teams actually want the player and he's simply not working out in Detroit then really, who knows which players are plausible for a trade?

Also, with the way the Griffins have been recently, it seems as if Pulu would get minimal to no ice time. It doesn't seem like his play 5 on 5 is at a point where a coach in NA would trust him out there.

So far he's had a mostly healthy year in the Finnish league. That in itself is a huge accomplishment for him. If he doesn't want to rush his development then that's perfectly fine with me.

I was just thinking this morning how if we're going to single out any of the coaches that it might be reasonable to speculate on MacLean, who runs the offense and here's why: Babs keep talking about how “Most of it starts in the offensive zone and works its way back into your zone ... When you’re disorganized coming back in your own zone you’re not going to be very good.” Perhaps the offensive scheme leads to bad positioning and sets the players up for bad defense at times. No? Anyone? Bueller? I can feel the "You don't know hockey" comments coming in the distance.
