I think it'll be nice that the Wings will have Salei's point shot as a legit threat coming from the third pairing. We didn't have that with Lilja.

I don't think it's just clearing the crease. Yes they struggled in that area but they also struggled to possess the puck like they normally do. They struggled to play tough on the puck and win battles like they normally do.

Maybe because Salei has some all-around ability? EDIT: Specifically, he can do just fine handling the puck for his role.

I think Helm's is partially as high as it is because of what he did for the Wings in two extensive cup runs and being the #1 PK forward this past year. Abby doesn't really have those things to his name He should get less imo, but we'll see. Maybe he'll throw around the fact that he's a second round pick or something.

I guess Kenny and Jimmy Nill really believe Abdelkader is the next Dallas Drake or something. Seems like they want Draper and Ritola as the reserve forwards. Hopefully Abs can keep the flies off.

There are ways to airbrush it away on photoshop and make it look like that. I'm sure it stuck out to the person who did it.

What's the problem with a joint arena? I don't understand that part. These days, I don't care if they share an arena I just don't want it to have a corporate name. Or at least, have a happy medium to it like Ilitch's Palace or something like that. Anything besides that Sprint or Starbucks Arena BS. Also, I'd love for Ilitch to be the owner of the Pistons. He'll probably shell out a little more money than Davidson did to win.
