Will he be a reliable NHL player? Still don't know yet. Can he be a #1 elite elite elite defenseman? He's got a long way to go. Just stating the obvious though.

Aw goddammit! It's the pictures from the recent facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=182687&id=16313679138 They put Sheahan in Bertuzzi's locker; Jarnkrok in Filppula's locker and as they've done the past two years, Smith in Lidstrom's locker. I mean, they could've just taken off the names there but they hope that maybe adds a little extra subliminal motivation I suppose.

Interesting photos from the Wings locker room stalls. No one can really say if there's any intentional and subliminal messages going on but man, that can really drive a dude crazy. "Hey Sheahan, we'd like for you to be like a Bertuzzi in his prime; and Jarnkrok, we'd like for you to exhibit a work ethic and determination game like Filppula; and Smith... Lidstrom, that is all." Haha.

Probably. Or maybe Fischer. For forwards it's ZEEEEEEE. Not sure when the season started back in 2002 but if it began before October 9th then Zetterberg was 21 to start his rookie season. His birthday is Oct 9th, 1980, which means that on Oct 9th, 2002 he had to have turned 22.

Well, haha, yeah. The veteran thing is a rather minor but serious concern of mine for Modano. I mean, he got pushed to the 4th line for a reason and he admitted that mentally and emotionally he really struggled to play every night the way he felt like he could. We hope that a new team and a winning environment will give him a spark but he is 40 years old, he's already won a cup and it's a loooooong season. I don't blame him at all for taking his time to make this decision.

Something that also might be a concern for Modano is the way Babs has been known to interact with veterans. Shanahan, Lang, etc.

One side thinks that Ritola's upside is good and that he will reach it one day. The other side is tremendously confused and has no idea where all the hype comes from.

Although this reaction isn't that surprising. I remember reading an article about the Miller brothers and how Drew was somewhat of a hothead growing up and Ryan was the more "by the book" kind of guy.

I'm thinking Lebda must know somebody in the Leafs organization to get that contract. I was thinking maybe he witnessed some crime Burke committed but the contract isn't that insane for him.

No that was the 09 run. Drake-Draper-Cleary was the third line in the 08 run. Draper and Cleary led the forwards in PK TOI by far.
