But isn't it the injuries that have Bertuzzi playing such a substantial role currently? If Franzen and Filppula were healthy, he'd be on the 2nd or 3rd line. Holland couldn't have anticipated so many injuries. Personally, I really dislike having Bert and Homer on the same line. But the way the other lines are working, I guess there's not much choice. If he could grab a couple of goals in a game I think he'd improve. His bad luck in front of net early on seems to have affected his confidence.

Yep, Ireland cheated out of a World Cup place by the morons in charge of football. First, FIFA basically changed the rules halfway through a Qualifying campaign to favour the big teams like France and Portugal who found themselves struggling to qualify (seeding the big teams to increase their chances of getting through). Then, last night, not only do the officals miss 2 players offside from the freekick, a possible foul on Richard Dunne, but 2 frigging handballs by Henry that everyone else in the stadium saw! It's almost 2010 and the idiots at FIFA still refuse to adopt Video Technology to help the officals. They say it will 'undermine the referees' - complete bollocks, it's proven in every other sport to be a great help to referees. (Even the NHL, who still try their best to mess it up) Even if they introduced a Challenge system - even just one Challenge each for the Coaches - it would have saved this mess. (Same with hockey - the challenge system is great IMO) Players who dream about the playing in a World Cup, and the supporters who want to be their cheering their team on, all robbed of the chance by ridiculous officiating. It seems to be the only sport I can think of that by its very nature actively encourages cheating. One of FIFA's mantras is 'Fair Play' - Fair play my arse! And after that debacle last night I watched Brad May get robbed of a goal by more dopes!!

Only been to 2 games ever - Canucks game 10/27 and Leafs 11/7 this season. I live about 5000 miles from North America though, so it's going to be a rarity.

Callahan has 3 goals, 7 assists for 10 points in 10 games, with 25 PIM. He also leads his team in plus/minus, with a +6. Not too bad.

Other than that one game against St. Louis, Ozzie has looked great this season!

Griffins Grades Jakub Kindl D+ Kindl may have been the biggest disappointment of the second half as the organization's top defensive prospect took a big step back in his development. His offensive game and his confidence dried up in January, followed by a string of poor decisions on the ice leaving some to question his hockey sense. Jakub was a turnover machine in the latter stretches of the season, making the same mistakes over and over again. He will need to come out of the gates strong to avoid being passed over on the depth chart. -- From Griffins Central 2nd half grades. Might want to take it with a pinch of salt, though, unless a regular Griffins fan can shed some light on it.
