Haha, excellent use of some pun

That sucks dude. But that is super weird, if they had the extra lunch boxes they should have given them to people that wanted them. Like, when I went to Ikea night the posters were one per fan--but in the third period they started handing them out to whoever wanted another one. Thats how it should have been.

I'm 100% with you on that. I've been impressed with him lately-he gets hit soo hard sometimes though I worry he is going to get hurt. Beginning of the year I felt Hudler>Kopy, now it is Kopy by a longshot. In addition to that I thought Fil had a real strong game, considering he is coming back from groin/knee injuries.

I know somebody brought this up earlier, but if the league decided to allow more teams to make the playoffs I'd have the format where 10 get in per conference, and the bottom 4 seeds battle in out in the first round in a best of 5 series. So the top 6 seeds get rewarded with a short resting period to get healthy and watch other teams beat up on each other, and we are assured that the best teams get through. Just a side note: I am perfectly content with the system now, it adds some excitement and competition--without it, the end of the season would involve 6 teams being on cruise control for the last 2 weeks.

You're soo lucky...I'm jealous.

I don't see a whole lot in Hartigan, people talk about his speed but I just don't see anything impressive. Especially against the Blues, Downey should be playing. In general, Downey should play over Hartigan.

Haha . I love Cleary.
-
Haha...oh ESPN, if only that were true.
-
I was thinking that too! First Cheli walks right between Trevor Thompson and the camera, then Babcock comes out for his interview a bit early, and off and on Downey is in the back yelling random things. In terms of the game, the main thing that made me laugh was Sammy's empty net goal attempt and he slap shot it at the opposing player's shin...how appropriate.

This game is crazy. It was 3-0, I assumed--and never mind Coyotes win. Crazy crazy game.

And there is the Cleary Convention center in downtown Windsor!! Everytime I see the sign for that place I smile. In relation to this game, as long as Samulesuck keeps his wrist shot below the height of 6 feet, Cleary should be good to go. I am soo excited!

I just read an mlive article about Homer...and he was asked if he thought his abdominal strain was a hernia, and Homer's response was "I don't know." That worries me a bit...if his new tests reveal a hernia, the playoffs could be a long shot for him.

My excitement for this game can be captured with 4 short words: DAN CLEARY IS BACK!!! Hallelujah!!!
-
Yay Cleary! I am looking forward to his return tomorrow night!

OMG, i was soo confused too. I read a comment like "the habs will not make the playoffs" and I was like huh, aren't they one of the better teams in the East. But then I saw it was dated September 07...

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing.

If anyone has ever gone to a college hockey game they know how annoying no-touch icing is. It slows down the speed of an otherwise fast-paced, exciting game and so many times a player would clearly be the first one there, or is just inches away from getting to the puck before it hits the goal line--and instead of an exciting upcoming offensive chance, we get another stoppage. In relating this to the NHL, the league is trying to boost offense and pick up the speed of the game and implementing no-touch icing won't help either of these causes.

I missed the original playing of the game, but saw the replay on FSN. Datsyuk and Draper stuck out in my mind as playing really really well. It was nice to see Drapes back in there, especially because I didn't expect to see him out there. Pavs is just continuing his dominant play, and was loving see Dats and Hank out there again together. But even more exciting...Dan Cleary will be back Tuesday (hopefully)--soo that is what will get me through Monday and Tuesday classes. GO Wings!

LoL, and last years was something like join the red wave...while I'm enjoying all the one-dollar food nights, the pr staff needs to get some creativity here. This slogan "are you in" sounds like it belongs on the tv show project runway...are you in, or are you out? (if i am the only one that watches that show, i apologize) Real original guys.

This sucks...has to be Lilja's doing--he was a healthy scratch and then all of a sudden on of our d-men is hurt . Anyways, hopefully Stuart is a quick healer and we'll see him for the start of the playoffs.

OMG, your avatar is f'ing hilarious. Not just the pic, but the phrase under it--sooo perfect.

1) Yes 2) I personally feel that automatic icing is the most annoying thing. In college hockey, where this is the case, it is so frustrating when it is called icing even though your player obviously would've gotten there first. This just adds to the pile-up of stoppages in hockey--something that the league has been trying to minimalize (i.e. touch up offsides, intential passing eliminates an icing). I do understand though the problem that touch-up icing can cause injury, but so can a skate hitting a players neck--but we don't wear neck guards to stop this. I don't know, I just don't like the idea of this.

Not to get off topic, but I just saw a replay of that U of Minnesota player (Pohl I think was the name) who got elbowed the other night. Best wishes to him in his recovery...

Aww, I miss Danny Boy--10 days from today he'll be back--I can't wait We know he won't back down to anybody, including Phaneuf and the big bad Pronger,in the playoffs

That would be amazing
