I agree with you about the NTCs. They are annoying and can get in the way. This said, I think you are overestimating Kenny Holland's desire to move players and underestimating Cleary's hockey skills. Kenny and Yzerman have both been quoted as saying that they believe that the team we have, when healthy, is a good one. I highly doubt Holland would be so quick to get rid of Cleary...he is coming off of an injury which had him out for a month. He was on team Canada's training camp roster (so clearly he has talent) and is fifth on the Wings in scoring. So yes, I would sign Cleary to that same contract. NTC or no NTC, Cleary wouldn't be getting moved at this point. Ultimately, I think it is our team's inability to play a full 60 minutes, put the puck in the net, and stay healthy that is killing our chance to make a positive change, not Dan Cleary and NTCs.

If I could add my one positive comment of the day, at least it appears that the three injuries sustained today are not long-term. per MLIVE I don't know if this even changes the red wings long-term prognosis in terms of the playoffs, but good news nonetheless.

I don't know if I call that bandwagoning. Everyone is disappointed and pissed off. Saying that the team is a joke doesn't mean they are jumping ship. Now if they were to say this team is a joke and i am going to root for the blackhawks...then i'd call that bandwagoning.

This game is the epitome of a hockey nightmare: blow a 3 goal lead, resulting in 4 unanswered goals and lose 3 guys to injury only 3 days away from getting totally healthy.

It is sad when the most grit I see from my team comes from the goalie.

I was going to say that, lol, but fearing LGW backlash. Glad someone else thought that. I love Jimmy, but he needs to do a better job with those rebounds. that said, our guys need to clear kings players away from the crease. So many issues with this team right now.
