I agree with you 100% on this one. It seems like everybody points fingers at the whole team except for the coaching... How can you be a President's Trophy winner, have multiple players on the top 10 points lists and struggle like this in playoffs?

I would like to hear from some of our more experienced Wings fans what they think about Babcock as a playoff coach. What makes him such a great coach? What differences do you see between his style and Bowman's?

Is this all anybody can say about Babock? Would it be correct to say he is a better regular-season coach than most but maybe not so good as a playoff coach? Has he been re-signed? What are the Wings waiting for...?

I'm seriously wondering if Babs told McCarty to chill out as I don't see him getting in too many altercations...he's got to get into NHL playoff hockey shape I guess? lol

Lilja sucked.....Stewart sucked.....Flip sucked....and Cleary was getting his ass thrown around out there. They are the weakest link(s) at least in tonight's game. Hasek was under tremendous pressure with the breakdowns we experienced. It was only partially his fault.

I agree with you....and Johnny about Babs. This is a strategy issue. Lineups were the problems with this one.

I like when they actually play together. Tonight was an example of what happens when we dont....

Exactly, which is why I feel this is a strategy breakdown. Why are we playing prevent when we should be playing our own game of controlling the puck and playing aggressive goal-scoring hockey. Does anybody feel that changing the lines from game to game is confusing? To me, it seems we can't get in our groove from game to game...

I love how everybody makes all the excuses about why our goalies didn't save the puck on various goals. However, it seems we have a way of making our opponent's goalies look like superstars. Legace had a flurry of pucks shot at him (and even deflections) and he managed it...and they won the game as a result. It's a matter of increasing that level of play to the "playoff level." When I see Ozzy, I see somebody that is in a panic everytime the puck ends up by the net. He just looks nervous and I have no confidence he's going to stop whatever is shot at him. I think that its just a matter of time when pucks are shot at him that one will always manage its way in. One reason why I thought maybe the team looked a little "off" tonight is that during the interview with Babcock, he said that some teams prefer to rest their players when conditioning for the playoffs. He feels that the more you skate the players, the better off they will be. Personally, I think the boys looked tired. I don't know how they can get in any better conditioning shape than after the regular season? If they are not conditioned by now, I don't think they ever will be! Save their legs...

Ozzie sucks and Hasek is washed up. I say its time for Howard or we need to reposition our goaltending efforts by looking elsewhere. It's unacceptable to outplay your opponents to this level and still lose by a goal.

Would the fact that the two goalies split the season (therefore, only playing 1/2 the games that the rest of the league goalies play) have anything to do with the good GAA percentages? For example, if Dom or Ozzie had to play the whole season themselves and maintained these percentages, wouldn't it be more difficult to accomplish?

Just think, the Avs games will be exciting once again. I was starting to think the rivalry was dying out...

As far as I'm concerned, every game here on out is a "playoff" game for our team...we've given up enough of the point lead for me to feel comfortable!
